Bringing Paebbl together in Rotterdam! 🇳🇱 Last week, our team gathered from across our four hubs in Europe (London, Rotterdam, Stockholm and Helsinki) for our All Hands, kicking off Q4 and getting everyone ready for the sprint ahead. The highlights: 🏢 Townhall – sharing company updates and recent milestones 🚢 Guided tour of the Port of Rotterdam – exploring the industrial heart where our R&D center is located  🎾🥊 Boxing & padel – because nothing builds team spirit quite like sweating it out together 🧠 Team quiz – with questions about everything that was NOT related to CO₂   The future of construction materials is being built right here. This team is ready to make it happen.

  • 🌱 At Paebbl, we have an ambitious 2050 goal... restore the planetary carbon balance by one gigaton of CO₂. 📈 Scaling our technology would concretely mean (see what we did there?) that the built environment can have a net climate benefit and a net societal benefit. 🏢 Our current product line can already turn the cities of tomorrow into a carbon store. Every single building that we build will be part of the solution. One block at a time.

  • Meet Prof. Veronica Bowman OBE, Statistician and Data Science Specialist at Paebbl. “Uncertainty is the mathematical key to delivering real-world impact.” I’ve spent my career translating mathematical research into meaningful outcomes. I began by building statistical models to help protect people from pollution for the UK government. Over time, I became fascinated not just with the models but with how we understand and manage uncertainty to make better decisions. Uncertainty shapes every choice. Imagine betting without knowing the odds. We do it every day often without realising it. I wanted to change that. In 2015, I convened experts from across disciplines for Calculating and Communicating Uncertainty. That event sparked a new direction- leading to my work combining COVID-19 models into a single, robust UK R number. That effort, made possible by brilliant collaborators, earned me an OBE and a thirst to make mathematics even more impactful. I turned to digital twins often presented as the solution to uncertainty, yet inherently uncertain themselves. I authored the UK government’s definition of a digital twin and how to procure one. That taught me sound decisions require both real-world data and a well-executed modelling strategy. I joined Paebbl to deliver just that, I work at the intersection of rapid decision-making, real-world systems, data and modelling. It’s an energetic, welcoming place full of brilliant minds and great people. We’re building systems that bridge digital and physical worlds- engineering a difference, delivering a more informed, greener future. #WeArePaebbl #MeetOurTeam #DataScience #DigitalTwins #Innovation #ClimateSolutions

  • 🌍 Our VP of Engineering, Arnold Choi, will be speaking at the Carbon Capture Technology World Expo on October 22 in Hamburg, Germany. We’ll be exploring how mineralisation offers one of the most scalable, verifiable, and energy-efficient solutions to carbon removal at the world's largest event for Carbon Capture, Utilisation & Storage. 🏗️ Concrete is the most used human‑made material and while cement is a small part of concrete, its production is the largest driver of the emissions produced. But what if construction projects could actually store CO₂ instead of releasing it? We’ll share how Paebbl's mineralisation process doesn't just permanently store CO₂ but transforms it into valuable construction materials, creating a carbon‑storing Supplementary Cementitious Material used to replace parts of cement in mixes. If you're attending the expo, don't miss this session !

  • We're honoured to partner with a forward-thinking organisation like Amazon.   For us, this means deploying our technology at unprecedented speed whilst collaborating directly with stakeholders across the value chain to engineer solutions that address industry requirements. The Climate Pledge Fund plays a pivotal role in this relationship: we're delighted to appear in their recent video series with our Co-CEO Marta Sjögren. Concrete is responsible for up to 8% of global emissions, yet it's the foundation of our modern world. At Paebbl, we're transforming this reality. Turning the built environment from one of the largest climate challenges into a climate solution. ⬇️ Check out the video ⬇️

  • We’ll be joining the panel “Decarbonisation — What to do with CO₂ ?” on October 7 in Amsterdam at the Icos Capital Collaborative Innovation Summit. Our VP Product, Ana Luisa Vaz, will share how CO₂ can be transformed into construction raw materials, turning the built environment into a carbon sink. Ana will be joined by Niels Schiander from Aerbio and Sijbrand Tieleman from Proba to discuss various utilisations of CO₂ across industries. If you’re curious about these cutting-edge solutions, come say hello — and let’s grab a coffee ☕️

Meet Marijn van Bergen, Project Manager at Paebbl. I started out as a chemical engineer, spending nearly 35 years in the petrochemical industry-first troubleshooting distillation processes, then managing projects at engineering firms, a major oil company, and a chemical manufacturer. About four years ago, I felt the pull toward something more meaningful. When the chance came to join Paebbl- then a tiny start-up of just 13 people-I jumped at it. Realizing projects here is completely different: agile and fast-track, designing and building what has never been done before, often skipping the traditional decision gates I was so used to. The challenges are plenty, but we tackle them head-on and solve them as we go. Fast-forward two years: we’re now a global team of around 70, moving fast, learning every day, and united by a shared mission-to make a real dent in global warming. It’s intense. It’s refreshing. And it’s inspiring to do this alongside such a diverse and passionate group of colleagues who bring out the best in one another. At Paebbl, we’re proving that with courage, curiosity, and collaboration, we can turn bold ideas into practical climate solutions-one breakthrough at a time. #WeArePaebbl #MeetOurTeam #ProjectManagement #Innovation #ClimateSolutions
