We loved welcoming Laura Anderson to our Aberdeen Offshore Wind Farm to chat to our Environment and Sustainability team about all things nature and wildlife 🐬 Aberdeen Bay is home to a rich variety of marine and bird life, including harbour porpoises, seals, kittiwakes, and gannets. Vattenfall works closely with marine ecologists and ornithologists to monitor and protect these species, and the wind farm’s location and design were selected to minimise disruption to natural habitats. Watch the video to find out how offshore wind and nature coexist 👇
AD 🌍 I took a trip to the Vattenfall Aberdeen Bay Offshore Windfarm to hear about how renewable energy and nature can thrive together! I chatted to Jamie Gathercole from the Environment and Sustainability team to hear about how they plan, design, monitor and operate alongside wildlife both here in Aberdeen, and further afield!🌍
