Science is changing the face of beauty. To explore this, our Global Prosumer Beauty 2025 study surveyed 14,500 people across 30 markets, including Japan, Indonesia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand. Prosumers, leading influencers who shape mainstream behaviors, show us where beauty is headed next. Two-thirds of Prosumers globally expect that permanent solutions will one day replace daily routines. In the meantime, IV drips, microneedling, and wellness apps are growing rapidly. In Malaysia and the Philippines, younger consumers are especially open to science-backed beauty, blending technology with tradition. In Thailand, the popularity of digital wellness apps shows how consumers are fusing health and beauty into one seamless pursuit of self-optimization. In Japan and South Korea, science-led beauty is accelerating through high-performance ingredients, beauty tech, and a growing demand for personalized, clinically-backed solutions. The quest for the “super self” is now part of everyday beauty. For the full report, visit havas.com/prosumer-reports or contact us at [email protected] #Havas #ProsumerReport #Beauty

Health is the new wealth. To explore this, our Global Prosumer Beauty 2025 study surveyed 14,500 people across 30 markets, including Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand. Prosumers, leading influencers who shape mainstream behaviors, show us where beauty is headed next. Globally, 91% of Prosumers believe the best way to be beautiful is to be healthy, shifting the focus from aesthetics to holistic wellness. In Southeast Asia, this mindset is accelerating. Indonesians and Thais are increasingly blending beauty with practices like yoga, meditation, and sleep rituals. The Philippines sees surging interest in nutrition-linked skincare, while Malaysia embraces spa and wellness experiences alongside traditional routines. In Japan and South Korea, the convergence of health and beauty is being driven by innovation where diagnostic tools, wearable tech, and functional ingredients are empowering consumers to optimize well-being from the inside out. Beauty is now indistinguishable from health, creating powerful new opportunities for brands. Beauty today is as much about mental well-being as physical appearance. To explore this, our Global Prosumer Beauty 2025 study surveyed 14,500 people across 30 markets, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Japan and South Korea. Prosumers, leading influencers who shape mainstream behaviors, show us where beauty is headed next. Three-quarters of global prosumers say their routines support their mental health, with 84% considering beauty care just as important as mental health itself. This finding is even more resonant in Southeast Asia, where consumers, especially Gen Z, see skincare and beauty rituals as emotional anchors. In contrast, Japan and Korea Prosumers lean less into this overlap, showing how cultural attitudes diverge in the region. However the general direction across for all Asian Prosumers is to see beauty and therapy merging into an everyday act of self-care that strengthens resilience.
