From coating hard disk drives and phone keypads in the early days, to today powering advanced applications in consumer electronics, automotive, optics, and even medical devices, NTI Nanofilm has grown alongside Singapore’s rise from traditional manufacturing to global innovation hub. We have carried this same Singapore spirit as we expanded beyond our shores to Japan, China, Vietnam, India, and Germany, staying grounded in where we started, and who we are. And this August, we celebrated that spirit the best way we know how, as one team. We marked the month with our August birthday goers, doodled our way through local food guessing games, and treated everyone to an old-school ice cream cart, complete with rainbow bread and waffle cones, a nostalgic Singaporean delight we all grew up with. 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗜𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗣 – 𝗔 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗡𝗧𝗜 𝗡𝗮𝗻𝗼𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗺 We had the privilege of hosting delegates under the Singapore Cooperation Programme: 𝘗𝘢𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘞𝘢𝘺 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘌𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘐𝘗 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯, organised by IPOS International and the 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗔𝗳𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗿𝘀 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗲. It was more than just a visit, it was a conversation. We shared our journey from deep-tech startup to enterprise, and how intellectual property (IP) has played a foundational role, not just in protecting innovation, but in enabling collaboration, building trust, and powering sustainable growth through commercialisation. Beyond conversations, delegates stepped into our world of thin film coatings, with a tour through our 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗧𝗥𝗖 and 𝗦𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗲𝗻 research labs, where advanced coatings help solve tribological and surface challenges for manufacturers, designers, and end-users alike. We were inspired by the insights, questions, and perspectives shared by the delegates, from 𝗕𝗼𝘁𝘀𝘄𝗮𝗻𝗮, 𝗕𝗿𝘂𝗻𝗲𝗶, 𝗚𝗲𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗮, 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗮, 𝗞𝗲𝗻𝘆𝗮, 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗮, 𝗠𝗮𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘂𝘀, 𝗡𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗹, 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮, 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱, 𝗨𝗸𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲, 𝗩𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘇𝘂𝗲𝗹𝗮, 𝘁𝗼 𝗩𝗶𝗲𝘁 𝗡𝗮𝗺, and we thank each of you for the rich exchange.
