𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗮 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀-𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 As industries evolve rapidly, there is a need for a unified skills-first approach to raise skills literacy and adoption of skills-first practices among employers, individuals and training providers.    The launch of the Centre for Skills-First Practices (CSFP) today by Institute for Adult Learning Singapore seeks to drive an ecosystem-wide adoption of skills-first practices. Minister for Education and Minister-in-Charge of Social Services Integration, Mr Desmond Lee highlighted how a skills-first approach requires employers to identify and invest proactively in workers’ skills, individuals to make deliberate training and career choices and training providers to accurately meet skills training needs.    The event also marked the unveiling of several initiatives and resources in support of the skills-first vision.   1️⃣𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀-𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗱𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗲𝘅 The global framework is the first-of-its-kind, developed by CSFP with OECD Education and Skills that measure the readiness and adoption of skills-first practices across 30 countries, including Singapore.   2️⃣ 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝟭𝟬𝘁𝗵 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗝𝗼𝗯𝘀-𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁: https://lnkd.in/g54ycfaj Jointly published by SkillsFuture SG and Workforce Singapore, the report “Realising the Skills-First Advantage: Growing Business and Workforce Together” spells out how a continuous focus on skills development and job redesign can sustain competitiveness of our economy.
