  • 𝗗𝗕𝗦 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘅 𝗧𝗛𝗞𝗠𝗖: 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼-𝗝𝗼𝗯𝘀 💪👵👴 On 13 October 2025, Thye Hua Kwan Moral Charities (THKMC) and DBS Foundation (DBSF) announced a landmark partnership to broaden seniors’ access to Micro-jobs, which are flexible, task-based opportunities that allow them to stay active, connected and purposeful. Graced by Minister for Health Mr Ong Ye Kung, the launch marked a key step in empowering seniors to continue contributing to society beyond retirement. As Minister Ong shared, “Micro-jobs for seniors is not just about taking on jobs, it’s also about restoring their sense of purpose.” Through this partnership, DBS Foundation will contribute S$1.47 million and leverage DBS' tech expertise to co-develop a first-of-its-kind Micro-jobs app. This digital platform will make it easier for seniors to discover, apply for and receive payment for tasks, enabling up to 5,000 seniors across 100 Active Ageing Centres to benefit over the next four years. THKMC and DBS Foundation will also rally more parties to come onboard as Micro-jobs providers, expanding the diversity and impact of opportunities available. This collaboration supports purposeful ageing by encouraging seniors to remain engaged, independent and connected to their communities. Together, we are building a future where ageing is filled with dignity, purpose and joy. 📸: DBS Foundation #DBSFoundation #ImpactBeyondBanking #THKMC #ActiveAgeing #SocialServices

  • 𝗧𝗛𝗞 𝗔𝗔𝗖 @ 𝗕𝗲𝗱𝗼𝗸 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗜𝗛𝗜/𝗕𝗠𝗝 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘂𝗺 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 We were honoured to host delegates from the IHI / BMJ International Forum on Quality & Safety in Healthcare at THK Active Ageing Centre @ Bedok (AAC) during their Singapore conference themed “Moving together towards sustainable quality.” As part of the Forum, delegates visited our centre to see innovation in care. Our Micro-jobbers and staff showcased how THKMC’s AACs support seniors through community care and technology, from programmes and workshops to tools such as facial recognition, gait speed monitoring, health kiosks and our Bedok Sanctuary. At THK AAC @ Bedok, seniors are not just clients but leaders who help run the centre, embrace technology and show that ageing is a season of growth and contribution. With the support of partners including SingHealth, Agency for Integrated Care (Singapore) and community organisations, the centre is more than a gathering place. It is a living model of collaboration, empowerment and sustainable quality in active ageing. 💙 Read more about THK Seniors' Community Services here: https://lnkd.in/g-pSqdTX #Singapore #THKMC #SocialServices #ActiveAgeing #Seniors #Community #Networking #ESG #SingHealth Healthcare Improvement at BMJ
