I met Henson Tsai, Founder & CEO of SleekFlow (Forbes 30U30). The big idea discussed: how Singapore helps companies grow into ASEAN and China. My 3 takeaways: 1. Start in SG: clear rules, strong banks, many languages. 2. Grow step by step: pick one country, find a local partner, use the apps people love (WhatsApp in SEA, WeChat in China). 3. Build trust: fast service, on-time payments, respect local laws. Grateful to Standard Chartered for the platform.

BDA Partners is pleased to announce that its client Flipspaces, a leading tech-led commercial interior design & build venture, has completed its Series C capital raise. In May 2025, Flipspaces raised capital from Iron Pillar and other investors. The latest tranche was led by Crescent Enterprises, Panthera Growth Partners, and SMBC Asia Rising Fund. This model has enabled Flipspaces to profitably deliver 8 million sq ft of commercial space for a thousand brands across India and the US, positioning it as a strategic partner for enterprises, small and medium businesses, and coworking firms.

I had the pleasure of attending the DealStreetAsia PE-VC Summit 2025 in Singapore. The summit brought together an exceptional community of investors, entrepreneurs, and dealmakers to reflect on the evolving dynamics of private equity and venture capital across Asia. The conversations highlighted both the opportunities and challenges. Four impressions: 1. SEA activity muted and likely to remain so in the short term 2. Politics and Geopolitics seems to be hurting (read: destroying) economics 3. All countries/regions need to create platforms of liquidity and vibrant capital markets.
