Sompo Holdings has announced that a wholly owned subsidiary of Sompo International Holdings will acquire 100 per cent of the issued Class A ordinary shares of Aspen Insurance Group Holdings Limited for $37.50 per share in cash. Mikio Okumura, CEO of Sompo Group, described the deal as an important milestone in advancing the company’s purpose of “Connect and Be Connected.” He emphasised the role of Sompo P&C, led by James Shea, in promoting capital circulation management and collaboration across the group. The life insurance industry faces complex challenges that demand actuarial expertise.
