I Used to Help Too

Shane put his clothes in the drawer.
谢恩把衣服放到抽屉里。
“Thank you, Shane,” Mom said.“You’re a big help now.”
“谢谢你，谢恩，”妈妈说。“你现在帮了大忙。”
“I used to help too!” Shane said
“我以前也帮过忙！”谢恩说
Mom laughed.“Is that whatyou’d call it?” she asked. Shegave her head a little shake.
妈妈笑了。“你会这么称呼它吗？”她问。她轻轻摇了摇头。

“Mom!” Shane said.“l was a big help! I put clothes away on wash day.”
“妈妈！”谢恩说。“我帮了大忙！洗衣服的时候我把衣服收起来。”

“Yes,” Mom laughed. “But nowyou put them away in the right place!”
“是的，”妈妈笑着说。“但现在你把它们放在正确的地方了！”

“I used to help you cook too,” he told her
“我以前也帮你做饭，”他告诉她
Mom said,“I’m not sure I’d call it help!”
妈妈说:“我不确定我是否会称之为帮助！”

“Well.” said Shane,"I helped rake leaves.
“嗯，”谢恩说，“我帮忙耙叶子。”
Mom smiled. “You’d shape them into a pile and jump on them!”
妈妈笑了。“你可以把它们塑造成一堆，然后跳到它们上面！”

Shane said,“Mom!It’s a shame you can’t remember! I was always a big help picking up toys.”
谢恩说，“妈妈！很遗憾你记不起来了！我总是帮忙捡玩具。”
Mom laughed.She couldn’t seem to stop.
妈妈笑了。她似乎停不下来。

Shane tried again. “I liked to help you in the garden too.”
谢恩又试了一次。“我也喜欢在花园里帮你。”
“You are more help in the garden now,” Mom said,laughing.
“你现在在花园里帮了更多的忙，”妈妈笑着说。

Shane said,“We don’t remember things the same!”
谢恩说:“我们记事的方式不一样！”
Mom hugged him.“Once you were too small to be a big help But you always helped me smile!”
妈妈抱住了他。“你曾经太小，不能成为一个大帮手，但你总是帮助我微笑！”
