The propulsion systems specialist Corvia has announced that is now a member of the Zero Emissions Ship Technology Association (ZESTAs). Samsølinjen, part of Denmark’s largest domestic ferry company Molslinjen, has taken delivery of Tyrfing, a battery-powered Ro-Ro passenger vessel. The 116.8-metre-long vessel, which was designed by OSK-ShipTech, will be able to operate exclusively on batteries during normal operations, according to Türkiye’s Cemre Shipyard. This follows the delivery of Tyrfing’s sister vessel Nerthus earlier this year. The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority has announced that it has developed a formal process to enable cargo ships to arrive at the Port of Vancouver ‘just-in-time’.
