🛑 Stop sending us more gas masks to review! I mean… don’t 😅 but at this rate, my wife’s going to evict me because our apartment’s turning into a gas mask warehouse. Well, she knew who she was marrying! 😎 Big thanks to one of our awesome supporters for sending us this Avon N10 in pristine condition! It wasn’t exactly free, but we paid just a symbolic price, so yes, it still counts as a gift 🙏 Now, many of you have been asking for a review of Avon S10, which is, as far as I know, the bulkier predecessor of Avon FM12. But since we’ve got our hands on the N10, that’s the one we’ll examining and testing. For those unfamiliar with Avon N10, it's basically an S10 variant without a drinking system, but with what many collectors and preppers agree, a sturdier, better-designed head harness. I can’t confirm that myself (yet 😉), but I’ve learned to trust the word of experienced collectors who really know their masks. Since N10 is a fairly simple mask, we’ll use this opportunity to tackle an important topic: 💡 What to look out for when buying surplus masks. The N10 we received was made in 1995, which makes it perfect for diving into one of the most common myths — that you must replace your mask every 5 years or it’s “no longer safe.” We’re not saying new, sealed equipment isn’t worth buying — but a lot of that messaging has been, well… deliberately gaslighting concerned civilians interested in CBRN protection to overpay for something they could have paid far less for. And that brings us to something even more critical — gas mask filters. Because believe it or not, the filter you use is far more important than which mask you have — as long as your mask seals properly. 🎥 Stay tuned for the full Avon N10 review, where we’ll bust a few myths and talk about what really matters when trusting your life to any decent surplus gas mask. 😤 #cbrnacademy #gasmask #surplusgear #cbrn #preppercommunity #civildefense #respirator #maskreview #protectiveequipment #collectorgear #gasmaskcollection #prepping #survivalequipment #militarysurplus #respiratoryprotection

🚨 Something’s Really Off With This Mask… 😳 By now, most of you know how our gas mask reviews go - it's a pretty straightforward stuff. We inspect the mask and its accessories, compare it to a few others if needed, and finish things off with a 30-minute endurance run. 🏃♂️💨 MIRA C21 was no exception… but just like with CM-8M and CM-6M, something had to go wrong again during filming. 🙄 This time, though, it was different. During the running phase, I could barely make it past the 10-minute mark before I was completely out of breath. At first, I thought, “Alright, maybe I’m just getting old, especially with the plate carrier weighing me down.” To finish the 30-minute run, I had to take four breaks… something that’s never happened before with any other mask. 😬 Coincidentally, we were filming two gas mask reviews just a few days apart, so two days after I ran the same test with Scott M95 and guess what - no shortness of breath at all. I felt great and ran like the wind. That’s when it hit me: something’s not right with the airflow inside the C21 gas mask. To confirm, I ran again in C21, this time without the plate carrier. After just 12 minutes, I was gasping for air and had to stop. At that point, it was clear: this wasn’t about my fitness. For good measure, I repeated the test with Avon C50, with the plate carrier… and there were no issues whatsoever. 🤨 We’ve got a few theories about why C21 makes strenuous activity so exhausting and borderline impossible - and we’ll reveal everything in the full review dropping this weekend. 🎥 👉 What do you think could be causing this?

If something’s bad, it earns the roast. We’ve made fun of other gas masks for far lesser issues, so you can bet 3M Scott M95 is about to catch some serious heat in our upcoming review remake. #cbrn #gasmask #cbrnacademy #respirator #gasmaskreview #ppe #cbrngear #militarygear

Wait, what? 😲 The guy who’s been praising M95 gas mask is suddenly making a rant review? Here’s why 👇 Two years ago, I got a brand-new, freshly made M95 gas mask from one of our supporters and I instantly fell in love with it. ❤️ It was sleek, lightweight and very flexible. But after testing many M95s over time, I started to realize this mask has some serious issues. Not so much in the design but in the materials themselves. ⚠️ In this video, we’re going to take a fresh look at two M95s made for the Slovak Armed Forces by the company Scott Safety and analyze which aspects of the masks are most affected by aging. Coming out next week! #gasmask #m95 #cbrn #militarygear #review #gasmaskreview #cbrnacademy

🎥 Greetings from the filming set! We just wrapped up some final B-roll footage for our latest in-depth review of the C21 gas mask from the Italian company DPI Sekur. 🇮🇹 Now, you might be wondering 🤔 why I’m holding four gas masks — none of which are C21 — and a latex horse mask 🐴. Let me explain. This review is going to be very detailed. We decided to directly compare some key aspects of C21 with other masks that either implement those features much better 💪 or, in some cases, are just as problematic 😬. With a price tag of $470 (the current re-sale price of MIRA Safety in the U.S.), we wanted to make this review as graphic and visual as possible — so that people can fully understand just how bad this mask really is. 👉 MIRA /DPI C21is insultingly bad, and I don’t use those words lightly. 💬 Are you looking forward to seeing the full review? It's coming very very soon! #cbrn #gasmask #safetygear #equipmentreview #filmmaking #mirasafety

🎉 25,000 Watch Hours and Counting! 🎉 Subscriber numbers offer great social proof but the real metric that matters is watch hours and engagement. Knowing that so many of you stay to learn, compare, and discuss means we’re doing something right. A huge thank you to everyone who’s trusted our gas mask reviews and relied on our tutorials to better understand CBRN gear. Your engagement and feedback keep us pushing for higher standards, more testing, and clearer, data-driven content. Interestingly, Cold War era respirators remain some of our most requested topics - proof that old protective gear never really gets... old 🙃 Here’s to helping even more people stay informed and protected! 💪🫡 #CBRN #GasMasks #Training #Safety #YouTube

🚨 We’re in turbo production mode this month! ⚙️💨 Our upcoming MIRA C21 gas mask review is almost ready and oh boy, we’re having way too much fun with this one. 😅 Truth be told, that’s only because we didn’t have to pay $470 for this undercooked abomination, otherwise I’d be furious. 💸🤦♂️ For a mask this expensive, there are so many mind-boggling design choices that are simply inexcusable and we’ll be tearing into all of them in the full review. 🔍🔥 Originally, we planned to compare C21 with Avon C50, but after really getting to know this thing, we decided that it would be better to compare it to GuZu OM-2020 a.k.a MIRA CM-8M to show just how bad C21 really is. 😬☢️ #mirasafety #c21 #gasmask #cbrn #overpriced #joke

We previously highlighted unusual shortcomings and cons of C21 gas mask produced by the Italian company DPI and currently re-sold in the US at a premium by MIRA Safety. Our full review is just around the corner, and after extensive testing, I'm sorry to say that C21 falls far short of expectations. It simply cannot compete with respirators from other manufacturers in a similar price range. It's actually quite embarrassing. My regret is not directed at MIRA Safety, but rather at the fact that we genuinely want to see strong, reliable safety products from European manufacturers. Unfortunately, the more we tested and analyzed C21, the clearer it became that the mask is cheaply made and poorly executed. Stay tuned for the full breakdown. #GasMask #CBRN #SafetyEquipment #RespiratoryProtection #PPE #MIRASafety #GearReview #SurvivalGear #CBRNgear #SafetyFirst
