
Improve Schoolwork in Apple School Manager
Your organization can allow Apple to process students’ and instructors’ Schoolwork usage data in a nonpersonally identifiable way, using techniques such as machine learning, to improve Schoolwork. See the Apple Support article About privacy and security for Apple products in education.
Turn on Improving Schoolwork for the entire organization
- In Apple School Manager  , sign in with a user who has the role of Administrator. , sign in with a user who has the role of Administrator.
- Select your name at the bottom of the sidebar, select Preferences  , then select Accounts , then select Accounts . .
- Do one of the following: - Select Enable next to Improving Schoolwork. 
- Select Disable next to Improving Schoolwork, read the dialog, then select Disable. 
 
- To opt out specific students or instructors, see Turn off Improving Schoolwork for a single account. 
Turn off Improving Schoolwork for a single account
- In Apple School Manager  , sign in with a user who has the role of Administrator, Site Manager or People Manager. , sign in with a user who has the role of Administrator, Site Manager or People Manager.
- Select Users  in the sidebar, then select or search for a user in the search field. See How to search. in the sidebar, then select or search for a user in the search field. See How to search.
- Select the user from the list, select  , select Disable Improving Schoolwork, read the dialog, then select Disable. , select Disable Improving Schoolwork, read the dialog, then select Disable.- You’ll receive a mail message confirming that the student’s account was removed from improving Schoolwork.
