Change how contacts are sorted in Contacts on Mac
You can sort contacts in the contacts list by first or last name.
Go to the Contacts app
on your Mac.Choose Contacts > Settings, then click General.
Click the Sort By pop-up menu to sort contacts in alphabetical order by first or last name.
Tip: You can use the Phonetic First/Last Name and Phonetic Company fields on cards to sort the names phonetically. For example, if you use English on your computer and enter a name in Japanese characters with an English phonetic spelling, the name appears in the list in its original characters but is sorted alphabetically by its phonetic spelling.
