NEW DELHI: Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan on Wednesday approached the Delhi high court, seeking protection of his publicity and personality rights, and requesting that websites and platforms be restrained from using his image, likeness, persona, and fake videos, including sexually explicit content. Justice Tejas Karia asked Bachchan’s counsel to respond to the queries raised by the court and noted that the matter would be heard at 2:30 pm. Advocate Pravin Anand, representing Bachchan, said the defendants are producing AI-generated videos of the actor, creating fake photos purportedly signed by him, and also circulating sexually explicit material.
Bachchan is also represented by advocates Ameet Naik, Madhu Gadodia, and Dhruv Anand, PTI reported.
