Today on #WorldFoodDay, we’re celebrating the incredible diversity of food - from vibrant street markets in Asia to comforting European classics, bold Latin flavours and fresh Mediterranean ingredients. Every culture tells its story through food, reminding us that good food transcends borders and brings people together. 🍽️ We’re inspired by global food traditions and the creativity of chefs around the world. We bring these influences into our own concepts, blending international flavours with local, sustainable ingredients to create dishes that are fresh, exciting and full of care. Food is a universal language and by sharing it thoughtfully, we can make a real difference for people, communities and the planet. 💚 #AngelHillFoodCo. #ForTheLoveofFood #WorldFoodDay

About us
Everything we do is For the Love of Food. Angel Hill Food Co. is the contract catering partner for organisations that care deeply about the role food plays in their people’s lives - in classrooms, workplaces, and healthcare settings across the UK. We operate at scale, but our strength is personal. Behind every dish we serve are thousands of skilled chefs, kitchen teams and front-of-house professionals who take genuine pride in their craft. From early mornings in school kitchens to busy hospital wards and high-volume corporate sites, our teams work with energy, empathy, and care - because food isn’t just what we do. It’s who we are. We provide fresh, seasonal, and sustainable food that meets the demands of each environment we serve: • In Education, we help children and young people thrive through nutritious, inclusive meals – from primary schools to universities. • In Healthcare, we support recovery and wellbeing with food designed around clinical need, individual dignity, and the reality of 24/7 operations. • In Business & Industry, we fuel performance with vibrant, flexible food experiences that reflect workplace culture and support employee wellbeing. Our offer is built around partnership, not prescription. We work closely with clients to shape food services that align with their people, values and ambitions - and we deliver with consistency, creativity and care. Angel Hill Food Co. is part of OCS, and our approach reflects the same principles: trusted delivery, frontline pride, and a commitment to doing the right thing for people and planet. If food is critical to how your organisation performs, let’s talk. Visit angelhillfood.co to find out more. #ForTheLoveOfFood

🌟 From Classroom to Kitchen 🌟 Our Chef Development team recently visited West Suffolk College to inspire the next generation of chefs as they prepare to take the step from Education to industry. Through a filled pasta workshop, the culinary students gained hands-on experience in rolling fresh pasta dough, creating flavourful fillings, infusing rich sauces. Bringing all of these skills together, they created: ✨ Mushroom Tortellini ✨ Butternut Squash & Ricotta Ravioli ✨ Salmon & Tarragon Ravioli These workshops give young people the skills, confidence, and insight they need to bridge the gap between education and professional kitchens. Supporting talent at the very start of their careers is a vital part of building the future of industry – and it’s something we’re passionate about delivering every day. 👩🍳 #AngelHillFoodCo. #EducationToIndustry #ForTheLoveOfFood

✨ Meet Hannah Parish Anutr – Nutritionist at Angel Hill Food Co. ✨ Six months into her career as a nutritionist, Hannah’s role is all about making nutrition simple and accessible: from creating materials with recipes and easy swaps, to supporting people with specialised diets. She also collaborates with chef development teams to maximise nutrition in every dish. 🥗 Hannah studied Neuroscience (BSc) followed by a Master’s in Nutrition at Nottingham, and while she doesn’t have one “specialist” area, she has a passion for creating “brain food” recipes – where her love of neuroscience and nutrition meet. Hannah’s role gives her the freedom to show how small changes can make a big difference. She loves sparking curiosity about nutrition, inspiring conversations at events and pop-ups, and sharing her creativity through recipes and social media. 👏 It’s inspiring to see someone bringing both science and creativity to help others live healthier lives. #Nutritionist #ForTheLOVEofFood #BrainFood #AngelHillFoodCo.

🇬🇧 Championing British Produce for a Sustainable Future British ingredients are the foundation of menus that deliver quality, nutrition, and sustainability. By prioritising local, seasonal produce, we support farmers, reduce food miles, and ensure every meal reflects careful provenance. During Love British Food Fortnight, we're showcasing the impact of British sourcing through themed menus, chef-led workshops, and sustainable options such as venison, demonstrating how public sector catering can combine excellence with responsibility. Our commitment extends beyond these two weeks: embedding British provenance into every menu, advancing sustainability initiatives, and inspiring a culture of excellence across education, healthcare, and independent sectors. 🙋Did you know? Butter chicken was an accidental creation 🥘 Butter chicken emerged when tandoori chicken at Moti Mahal in Delhi dried out. To salvage it, chefs simmered the meat in a luscious tomato cream and butter sauce. And just like that, the beloved dish we now cherish as "butter chicken" was born! 🍛 #NationalCurryWeek #ForTheLoveOfFood #AngelHillFoodCo #ButterChicken

♻️🍽️ Food waste goes beyond what’s left on the plate. It’s about the impact we can make by changing how we work. Today is the International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste, a global call to action co-led by the UN’s FAO and UNEP to halve food waste by 2030 as part of Sustainable Development Goal 12.3. We’re proud to support that mission by taking action across our education catering sites to reduce food loss, improve planning and empower our teams. 📍 At Kings Norton Girls’ School, we: ✅ Reduced waste through smarter portioning and colleague training ✅ Created a 12-month food calendar to improve forecasting and engagement ✅ Increased meal uptake by 15% while reducing food loss This is proof that small, meaningful changes in schools can create a big difference for people and the planet 🌍 📖 Read more on how we’re making a difference at King Norton Girls School here: https://lnkd.in/e-_7rpq9 #AngelHillFoodCo #SDG12 #SustainableCatering #EducationCatering #ForTheLoveOfFood #ZeroWaste #UNFAO #UNEP
