You can do anything, but not everything. Prioritising self-care means recognising your limits and making time for rest. Let go of the pressure to do it all and focus on what fills your cup and brings you joy! #AWARENI #SelfCareSunday #SelfCare

Your voice matters Bipolar UK is running a new survey on experiences with bipolar medication and side effects. Every response helps build a clearer picture and push for better support. Fill it in & share with your network:
Today we’ve launched our Medications and Side Effects Survey. CEO Simon Kitchen explains why your input is vital. If you live with bipolar, we want to understand: - What medications you take - If and how side effects impact your daily life This data will be shared to help inform and shape our policy, research and campaign work. Your voice can shape change. 👉 Take the survey here: https://lnkd.in/eETptRBM Thanks to our funders & contributors: C-FIT, Hazleton Technologies, NIHR MH-TRC Mission and Teva UK Ltd.

Well done to Emma and the Ormeau Labs team for braving a VERY early start to celebrate #WorldMentalHealthDay! We really appreciate your support 💛
🌄 We beat the sunrise! 🤣 World Mental Health Day 🌍 This morning 8 of us plus a pupper took on climbing up cavehill for the sunrise… we actually got up and down before the sunrise 🙈 This was a mental challenge for me: - getting up early - climbing up a hill - feeling guilty leaving my husband to sort out the 3 year old on his own But what made it easier was the people around me and the conversations! As someone who suffers from a long term mental health condition; I am glad I did it! 💗 AWARE NI provide so much community support to people like me who have daily mental health struggles so if you haven’t yet donate here to help us support them 👉🏻 https://lnkd.in/gZnE5BDy A HUGE thank you to the Ormeau Labs & Founder Labs members who showed up this morning! Means so much 🫶 Amy Junkin | Gareth McDonald | Gareth Gordon | farmdrive | Joanne Curran | Dallan McGuckian | Carolyn Perkins MRCVS

Every day AWARE NI, I’m reminded of the courage it takes for someone to say, “I’m not okay.” Behind every conversation, support group and phone call is a person taking that first brave step - and someone from our team ready to stand by their side. That’s what our work is all about. On #WorldMentalHealthDay, I’m especially proud of our By Your Side campaign. It captures what we believe in: that no one should face mental ill health alone and that they should have access to appropriate support. But being by someone’s side takes all of us - staff, volunteers, supporters, and the wider community. By working together, we can make sure everyone who needs help has somewhere to turn. If you’d like to learn more or get involved, please feel free to drop me a message.
🪑 Take your seat - your first step toward support. At AWARE NI, we’re #ByYourSide. Our peer-led support groups offer comfort, strength, and community - free for anyone facing depression, anxiety, or bipolar (no waiting lists, no official diagnosis needed). 💛 This #WorldMentalHealthDay (Fri 10 Oct), your fundraising - whether a one-off donation, becoming a regular donor, or hosting an event - makes it possible to keep these groups running. 💌 Email [email protected] for more info and your FREE fundraising pack. 💬 Donate today by text AWARE followed by your donation amount to 70470 to give that amount. Texts will cost the donation amount plus one standard network rate message, and you'll be opting into hearing more from us.
