Badger is a not-for-profit healthcare co-operative, proudly delivering urgent primary care and GP out-of-hours services to over 1.3 million people across Birmingham and Solihull. As a trusted NHS partner and a social enterprise, we’re proud to be rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). When your GP practice is closed, we’re here to help. Our GP Out-of-Hours service operates: • Weekdays: 18:30 – 08:00 • 24 hours on weekends and bank holidays We also run NHS Urgent Treatment Centres (UTCs) for minor illnesses that don’t require A&E: • Solihull UTC • Erdington Stockland Green UTC To access any of our services, simply call NHS 111. They’ll assess your needs and refer you to the most appropriate care — which may include Badger.

    Today we recognised our first-ever Lifetime Achievement Award and Urgent Care Hero Award recipients. These awards have been introduced to acknowledge and celebrate the vital work being done across the social enterprise urgent and integrated care sector—recognising those who have dedicated their lives to leading transformational change, and those who go above and beyond in frontline care. Throughout this afternoon, we’ll be giving a shout-out to each of our four worthy recipients. First up is Dr Fay Wilson, Lifetime Achievement Award winner.
