After being shortlisted in two categories, we are both honoured and delighted to announce that the Impulse Stovetop has won a Wood Pencil for the D&AD Awards 2025, under the Product Design Consumer category. This is a very special recognition for BLOND and Impulse! The Impulse Stovetop, designed by BLOND, is the first product in a new class of appliances that redefines performance through embedded batteries, solving major consumer pain-points and barriers to home electrification—from performance, difficult installation and reliability. Find out more about the project through our website.

On Tuesday, Dezeen, BLOND and Harry's came together during Milan Design Week for a panel discussion tackling questions of inspiration in design. Moderated by Dezeen's co-CEO Benedict Hobson, the talk explored the use of Artificial Technology (AI) in the creative design process. The panel discussion featured designer Abbie Adams; researcher Helen Job; founder of Blond, James Melia; and head of design at Harry's, Ryan Dougherty. Thanks to those who came along. Our exhibition will be open for the remainder of the week—please drop by.

Our Milan Design Week exhibition, DOUBLE VISION, will be open to the public on Monday 7th April. We look forward to welcoming all those attending Milan Design Week this year. BLOND and Harry's will invite visitors to track the design development of two facial steamers; one created by BLOND using, where possible, exclusively AI tools—and a second created by Harry's using 'traditional' processes that are well-known and adopted within the industry. Please pop by—both the BLOND and Harry’s team will be on hand to walk you through our work. Details of the location and opening times can be accessed via this link: https://lnkd.in/emhnyarc

For Milan Design Week 2025, BLOND will collaborate with New York-based grooming brand Harry's on an exhibition exploring the use of Artificial Intelligence within the industrial design processes. The exhibition, at its core, is a research project—with an aim to offer the design world insights into ways in which AI can be used, what tools to use, and how to use them. Visitors will be left with a methodology map, with a recommended process of how to integrate AI tools into the process.
