Team Chatsworth was out with friends old and new for Innovate Finance's Fintech In A Changing World. Good to hear from Robinhood’s Daniel Lane on the panel on financial inclusion on AI’s Role in Reducing Bias and Empowering Decisions, improving financial product access without removing user control. The final panel provided some “robust discussion” - read disagreement - on the approach to unlocking digital asset potential. On one hand, regulated infrastructure is crucial for trust and adoption and that blockchain must be integrated within regulated infrastructures for market scalability and control. On the other, start again, this is a new model, it needs a new regulatory model. Interesting stuff - thanks for having us team Innovate Finance!

There’s been a flurry of IPO chatter lately. From Princes’ planned flotation to Shawbrook and Zilch eyeing the market. Even the City Minister says, “London is back in business.” But is this a real revival, or just a brief rally? In our latest blog, we look at whether the tide is finally turning for London’s IPO market, and why the City’s strength may lie in both modernising its public markets and embracing the rise of private capital. If London can get both public and private markets investment flowing, it could secure its position as the world’s most dynamic financial ecosystem - a place where companies can grow, raise capital and stay for the long term. Brilliant piece in today’s Financial Times by Tristram Hunt. At Chatsworth, we see this every day — clients, entrepreneurs and investors who trust and believe in Britain’s promise. Too often, we sell Britain short. A reminder of our serious advantages: 💡 A world-class legal system and independent institutions 🎓 Global demand for a British education 🎭 Culture that punches above its weight on stage, screens and galleries 💼 Innovation, capital and talent still flowing into our cities Now is the moment to buy the dip and tell Britain’s story loud and clear. #UK #London #Business #Culture #Innovation #Leadership #BrandBritain

A great finale to #DigitalAssetsWeek London with a lively debate on CBDC vs. “the rest” including stablecoins, tokenised deposits, and tokenised treasuries, chaired by Simon Barnby of Archax. Both sides made strong cases. Lord Holmes argued that CBDCs go far beyond being just another acronym, highlighting their potential to enhance financial stability, inclusion, and the public good. Christina Frankopan of Lazard described CBDCs as simply the digitisation of the system we already know. On the other hand, Ryan Hayward of Barclays raised important concerns around privacy, the risk of bank runs, and the disruption of a trusted system, while Luis Nacarino of Santander made the point that there’s unlikely to be a winner-takes-all outcome instead, we may see multiple “flavours” of money coexisting. A fitting ending to an awesome event! #DigitalAssetsWeek #Tokenisation #CBDC #Fintech

Great to be attending this year’s Digital Assets Week conference in London representing the Chatsworth team. Think I speak on behalf of everyone in attendance when I say that the energy has been palpable throughout the conference. Across a range of panels and conversations, one thing became incredibly clear - both the private and public sectors are incredibly bullish. To echo Emma Lovett in her opening remarks, the industry tailwinds have definitely picked up! …always nice when you get to visit a venue like this too!
