About us
Chiltern Learning Trust (CLT) is an outstanding progressive multi-academy trust of 16 schools. The schools within the Trust are thriving and moving forwards. Our Trust also includes the Chiltern Training Group (CTG), a high quality Initial Teacher Training provider, which is one of only three ‘outstanding’ school based providers’ in the country. Similarly, within our Trust runs the Chiltern Teaching School Alliance (CTSA), a well-established, high quality school improvement process. We are committed to excellent standards of teaching and learning and helping raise the attainment of all learners. We work in partnership with a variety of local and national organisations, contributing towards the self-improving system. Our Trust also has a growing national reputation and in the last three years, we have received visits from the Prime Minister, the then Secretary of State for Education, and the Home Secretary. These high profile visitors and many others come into our schools to observe outstanding practice and to learn about some of our innovative and forward thinking approaches to teaching and learning. The Multi-Academy Trust was formed in 2013, when two outstanding secondary schools joined together. We now run 9 secondary schools, two middles and five primary schools. The practicalities of the Trust arrangement enable us to retain a strong central team of specialists with expertise in quality assurance and data, finance, marketing, facilities management, staff training and development, technology for learning and human resources. These high quality professionals help ensure that any school in our Trust can focus on delivering high quality learning and outstanding pupil outcomes.

I think the general theme running through Week 6 has been COMMUNITY. Today’s Love Luton RunFest again displayed all that is best about Luton. Well done to so many educators from within our Trust and from across the town for taking part & fundraising. Of course, well done to the many students too that ran! Friday saw the #REND Racial Equity Network move to Leeds & some of our senior staff were proud to represent us there. The new Network for Education Excellence (nEdEx) group was launched in Milton Keynes & Adrian Rogers was proud to be one of the keynote speakers at the launch. We also attended the MAT Strategy Forum conference in Cheshire & collaborations took place with some excellent trusts. Lots of our schools held excellent Open Evenings for either new or existing parents! The feedback on these has been overwhelmingly positive. Also over the last two weeks, our CPD, Teaching & Learning & Standards leads have attended some great sessions to take back to their schools. Also, it’s been the CEO & Heads round table this week for all our schools 👍Another wonderful week! It was wonderful to see the #REND movement go to Leeds last night. Huge congratulations to Shaheen Myers for organising such a fantastic event in an enchanting venue. The two young speakers were brilliant, reflective & passionate. Such powerful messages. We were so proud to attend & Sufian Sadiq was delighted to see his ‘baby’ reach Yorkshire. We were just so sad that Stephen Fox 🦊 couldn’t be there, he was so looking forward to this event. A joy to be with some of the kindest people in education.
