We’re thrilled to see the Education Authority (Northern Ireland) recognised for its innovative Capturing Our Carbon Capital project, developed in partnership with SustainIQ and supported by the Strategic Investment Board (SIB). This award-winning initiative, named Best Public/Private Partnership Working Initiative at the UK-wide APSE Awards, demonstrates how data-driven sustainability solutions can transform energy management across Northern Ireland’s schools. Through automated data capture, on-site sensors, and building energy management systems, the project helped identify greenhouse gas emissions, highlight potential cost savings, and ensure that resources can be redirected where they matter most - back into the classroom. Congratulations to the teams at SustainIQ and Education Authority (NI) for leading the way in sustainable innovation!
