This November, we’re taking a delegation from Cornwall’s thriving space and data community - including Goonhilly, Spaceport Cornwall, Halo, EIP and Krempel UK - to one of Europe’s biggest industry events, Space Tech Expo Europe in Bremen, Germany. In a major step towards global leadership in autonomous systems the Satellite Applications Catapult and WholeShip's National Drone Hub have signed an MoU aimed at strengthening the UK’s autonomous systems capability. Autonomous and drone technologies are integral to the UK’s evolving space supply chain. This collaboration will accelerate the development of 5G/SATCOM-enabled BVLOS infrastructure to directly benefit SMEs, UAV manufacturers and organisations developing dual-use technologies. “Together, we are ensuring that SMEs have access to the infrastructure they need to accelerate safe adoption and keep the UK at the forefront of global innovation.” ~ Richard Lowe, Chief Technology Officer at Satellite Applications Catapult.
