🐝 Buzzing with Purpose: Supporting Tate’s Beehives 🍯 We’re proud to support our client, Tate, by funding educational sessions that highlight the incredible work behind their ten thriving beehives – six at Tate Britain and four at Tate Modern. Our Facilities team is passionate about making a positive impact and these buzzing colonies are a brilliant example – boosting biodiversity, supporting pollination and enriching urban ecosystems at two of London’s most iconic galleries. The session was incredibly informative and the passion of the beekeepers truly came through, leaving our team more connected to the environmental impact of this initiative. Our engineers maintain equipment located near the hives so it’s not uncommon to see them suited up in full beekeeping gear, protecting themselves and the bees. The hives not only support local ecosystems but also produce delicious honey, available to buy onsite at both locations. Bella Sereno, Environment & Resource Manager at Tate expressed her thanks: "All three sessions went incredibly smoothly, and the staff absolutely loved them. We’ve had such glowing feedback, people are still talking about how special and engaging the experience was. A very special thanks to Dalkia for making this happen, it was such a memorable and meaningful experience for our team." We’re delighted to help bring these sessions to life and support Tate in promoting sustainability and environmental awareness. #TakingResponsibility #TrustedPartner #Biodiversity

  • Dalkia Supports Defueling Milestone at Hinkley Point B Dalkia are proud to continue supporting the safe and efficient defueling operations at Hinkley Point B, one of the UK’s most significant nuclear decommissioning projects. So far in 2025, a total of 99 fuel flasks have been successfully despatched, marking a major achievement in the defueling programme. With only 29 flasks remaining, the site is now entering the final stages of this complex process before reaching fuel-free status. Defueling is a critical step in the transition from generation to decommissioning, requiring precise coordination, robust safety management and strong collaboration between EDF, supply chain partners, and specialist teams such as Dalkia. Our role in providing facilities management and operational support helps to ensure that site services run seamlessly, enabling the defueling teams to maintain focus on their highly regulated activities. Reaching fuel-free status will represent a landmark moment in Hinkley Point B’s history, following decades of safe, low-carbon electricity generation. Dalkia’s continued support reflects our commitment to the nuclear sector and to playing a part in delivering a safe and successful decommissioning journey for EDF and the wider community. • 💗Giving Back, Hands On💗 Colleagues from our Communications and Group teams recently spent a day volunteering at the British Heart Foundation charity shop in Kingston upon Thames and what an experience! Swapping their usual roles for retail assistant duties, the team rolled up their sleeves and got to work in the stock room, sorting through over 1,000 items of clothing, tagging and pricing them for sale. It was a powerful reminder of the incredible effort that goes into running a charity shop and the dedication of the BHF staff and volunteers who keep it all moving. Some of the team even left with a few pre-loved treasures, supporting a great cause while embracing sustainability. This volunteering day is part of our ongoing partnership with BHF and demonstrates that giving back goes beyond donations. Time, energy and hands-on support are just as valuable and appreciated. A huge thank you to volunteers: Clémence O'Connor (Hallier), Benjamin Lemaitre, Julie Wheeler, Christabel Mensah-Stapleton MBA, Amy Durnan, Jeff Evans, Matt Richardson and to the BHF's Helen Smith for connecting us with Christine Edwards at the Kingston shop. We’re proud to support the British Heart Foundation in as many ways as we can. #CorporateSocialResponsibility #BetterTogether #CharityPartnership

  • 🌟 Reflecting on Wellbeing & Diversity Week 🌟 Last week, we celebrated Wellbeing & Diversity Week at Dalkia, aligned with National Inclusion Week. It was a powerful reminder of the importance of creating a workplace where everyone feels healthy, supported and included.   We kicked things off with an inspiring webinar on health, wellbeing and ED&I, featuring expert insights from Dr Sarah Jackson (EDF), Katie Fraser (AXA Health), Helen Smith (British Heart Foundation), and our own Tracey Elston (HR) and Clémence O’Connor (CSR).   Throughout the week, we explored key themes including mental health, physical wellbeing and inclusion in action. From sharing resources to pop-in sessions, quizzes and charity initiatives, the week was packed with engaging activities. We were delighted to celebrate our colleagues who completed the Three Peaks Challenge and launched our Defib Hunt to support life-saving awareness with the British Heart Foundation.   We shone a light on our people - sharing powerful stories of physical health transformation, lived experiences of disability, neurodiversity and racial identity as well as testimonials from colleagues who found the courage to seek help for their mental health through our peer-support forum, Campfire.   A huge thank you to everyone who took part. At Dalkia, People First is more than a value, it’s a commitment. This week was a celebration of the incredible work our teams do every day to foster wellbeing and inclusion. Let’s keep the conversation going!   #PeopleFirst #Wellbeing #Diversity #Inclusion

  • Putting People First at Houses of Parliament 🤝 Earlier this month, we were proud to take part in the inaugural Mental Health Fitness event hosted by our client, Houses of Parliament. This brought together Parliamentary staff and key contractors to reflect on how we can collectively support the mental wellbeing of those involved in maintaining Parliament’s estate. Recognised for our commitment to mental health best practices, we were one of the few contractors to share our approach. Our very own Andrew Preedy, a trained Mental Health First Aider himself, delivered an insightful presentation on the initiatives we’ve implemented to protect and promote employee mental health – from awareness days and our Good Day at Work initiative to the supportive services available year-round. The presentation was met with great enthusiasm and reinforced our commitment to putting People First - not just in words, but in action. With our Wellbeing & Diversity Week taking place this week, we’re continuing to build on this momentum and shine a light on the importance of mental health across our business. #PeopleFirst #MentalHealth #GoodDayAtWork

We Came, We Climbed, We Conquered! 🏔️❤️ Over the weekend, 28 of our determined colleagues dominated the Dalkia UK Three Peaks Challenge. They hiked 26 miles, climbed nearly 3,000 metres and faced unpredictable weather, aching muscles and steep ascents - all in support of our charity partner, British Heart Foundation. And the result? We raised over £35K, smashing our goal and achieving our highest total in Dalkia history! Every step taken helped raise vital funds for life-saving research and support for those affected by heart and circulatory diseases. We’re so proud of our team and grateful to everyone, clients and individuals, who donated and supported this challenge. You’ve helped make a real difference. Let’s keep the momentum going.
