Last Friday, the Equitix and Equitix Management Services teams joined forces with peers from across the infrastructure industry to take part in the Macquarie Capital Cup - a 5-a-side football tournament held at Powerleague Shepherd’s Bush in support of Street League, a charity that uses the power of sport to help young people build brighter futures. We’re proud to have supported this fantastic cause once again - and even prouder to have made it to the semi-finals! ⚽ Our combined team played alongside 27 other groups, including industry peers from Goldman Sachs (Cup Winners), Latham & Watkins (Runners Up), and many others. A special mention to Khalid, a young player from Street League who joined our team and impressed everyone with his talent and energy. A big shoutout to our players - Charlotte Would and Luke Bristow - for representing us brilliantly on the pitch, alongside our Equitix Management Services teammates, Andrew Dick, Russell Caines ACA (Team Captain), Piraveen Piratheepan, Carrick Andrews, and Nadeem Muktadir ACA. Thank you to Macquarie Group for hosting such a brilliant event and for continuing to match every donation made, helping raise close to £1 million to date for Street League. It was a great day of sport, teamwork, and community spirit; showcasing how our industry can come together to make a real difference. #MacquarieCapitalCup #StreetLeague #charity #team #infrastructuretolife

  • 🌍 Navigating Transition Risk and Opportunity As long-term investors in essential infrastructure, we understand the importance of early, informed action.   Equitix, in collaboration with Baringa, has developed a dedicated transition workstream to better understand and quantify climate-related risks and opportunities. By exploring evolving climate policies, regulations, and market expectations, we recognise our responsibility to anticipate and respond to these shifts.   🎥 In this short video, Charlotte W. (Sustainability & ESG, Equitix) speaks with Jim Fitzgerald (Energy and Resources Director, Baringa) on how this initiative is helping to embed climate risk across the investment lifecycle.   This workstream strengthens our ability to:   • Engage strategically with our investments • Build internal capabilities for proactive climate risk management • Facilitate transition planning considerations in alignment with evolving regulatory expectations    🔗 Watch the full video to learn more: https://lnkd.in/eCrecxJ9 🌱 See how we integrate climate strategy into infrastructure investments in our latest Climate Report: https://lnkd.in/exaPeb54 #ResponsibleInvestment #ClimateTransition #ESGIntegration #NetZero #ClimateStrategy #Equitix #Baringa

📢 We’re delighted to share that Ofgem has announced Equitix as the preferred bidder on the c. £450 million Tender Round 10 Neart na Gaoithe Offshore Transmission Owner (OFTO) project. 🌬️ The Neart na Gaoithe Offshore Wind Farm (translated as “strength of the wind”) has been developed by Neart na Gaoithe Offshore Wind Limited, a 50/50 joint venture between EDF power solutions and Irish energy supplier, ESB. 🌱 The wind farm is a 448MW offshore wind farm, located approximately 16km from Fife Ness and 16 km from the Isle of May. It is capable of powering around 375,000 Scottish homes and can offset over 400,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions each year. 👨👩👧👦 It has already contributed c.£200 million to the economy through work with local supply chains, with over 50 suppliers based in and around Scotland during the wind farm’s construction. The wind farm’s operations and maintenance base, which opened in January 2023, will continue to play a substantial role in the community for the next 25 years, and provide for 50 jobs. Local communities will continue to benefit from the recently launched community benefit fund. ⚡ At asset transfer, Equitix will be granted a Transmission Licence and acquire all transmission assets including the offshore substations, onshore and offshore export cables and associated infrastructure. The transmission assets connect into the SPEN substation located at Crystal Rig. Achal Bhuwania, Equitix’s CIO said: “Being named preferred bidder on Neart na Gaoithe OFTO marks another proud step in Equitix’s journey driving the UK's renewable future. Including Dogger Bank A, this will be Equitix’s eighth OFTO and a fourth consecutive win for our team in the sector. This demonstrates our conviction in the UK mid-market and is a validation of our strong market positioning, wherein we have been able to consistently source differentiated investments for our clients.” 💫 Equitix continues to strengthen its leadership in the OFTO sector with the addition of Neart na Gaoithe OFTO. This milestone builds on over 15 years of strategic investment in renewable energy, expanding an OFTO portfolio of almost 3GW of transmission capacity. Today, the Equitix renewable energy portfolio comprises more than 12.5 GW capacity, playing a vital role in delivering clean, reliable energy across the UK. 💥 Congratulations to our team on this win, particularly to James Mellish, Blair Nimmo and Ken Yashiki https://lnkd.in/et7tu59X #renewablepower #cleanenergy #investscotland #investUK #partnerships #team

📣 We’re pleased to launch our latest Climate Report, showcasing how we’re embedding climate resilience and transition planning across our investment strategies and portfolio.   This year, we’re particularly proud to highlight initiatives that reflect our collaborative, data-driven, and forward-looking approach:   🔬 Quantifying Climate Risk with Sust Global In partnership with Sust Global and supported by the UK Space Agency, we developed AI-enabled wind speed models that transform satellite data into actionable insights, enhancing how we assess physical climate risk across renewable energy assets.   🏥 Decarbonisation Opportunities in Social Infrastructure This study highlights our pragmatic approach to identifying decarbonisation opportunities across social infrastructure, with the potential to deliver both carbon and cost savings as part of a broader transition strategy.   🎓 Director Sustainability Training We delivered targeted training for our directors on transition strategy and planning, led by industry experts Josephine Bush, CFA ESG, FRGS, Lorraine Johnston, and James Close. This equipped leadership with the tools to navigate climate governance and decision-making.   Together, these initiatives mark important steps forward for the integration of relevant climate considerations into our investment approach, built on collaboration, innovation and a commitment to continuous learning and thought leadership.   🔗 https://lnkd.in/exaPeb54   #ClimateReport #Sustainability #Infrastructure #ClimateRisk #TransitionPlanning #Equitix

🗞️ As reported by the Financial Times, UK infrastructure financing is on track to reach record levels in 2025, underlining investor confidence in the resilience and long-term importance of the sector.   We are very proud that three of the top 5 UK infrastructure deals listed in the Financial Times list so far in 2025 are Equitix investments, including the c.£3bn Haweswater Aqueduct Resilience Programme, and the sale of stakes in Electricity North West and Calisen. These assets reflect the critical role that stable, well-managed infrastructure plays in underpinning economic resilience and supporting the UK’s transition to a sustainable future while generating value for investors.   https://on.ft.com/42gqZ09   🌱 As a leading investor in UK infrastructure, Equitix sees a strong pipeline of investable projects which we can deliver at scale, driving UK growth without burdening the public purse. With 300+ projects spanning multiple sectors in every corner of the country, we invest in, develop, and manage assets that provide essential services and lasting value for both communities and investors.   Looking ahead, we are committed to working with government, pension providers, and local stakeholders to ensure that long-term capital is deployed responsibly and effectively, delivering resilient infrastructure that supports growth for decades to come. #infrastructuretolife #creatingalastinglegacy #longtermvalue #partnership
