Odys Aviation has the closed a $26M Series A funding round, which will support strategic team expansion and flight testing in the US ahead of customer proof of operations in early 2026. In a press release issued yesterday (Thursday), this latest announcement builds on major technical milestones which Odys achieved in 2024 and 2025 and takes the company into the next phase of execution, The Series A follows successful integration and testing of Odys Aviation’s hybrid propulsion system and the completion of key design and certification milestones under the JARUS/SORA 2.5 framework. James Dorris, CEO of Odys Aviation, said: “This funding marks a critical inflection point for Odys. We’ve already proven the technology and performance potential of hybrid-electric VTOL. Now, our focus shifts to scaling operations, bringing together the right people, systems and partners to demonstrate what a full AAM ecosystem looks like in practice, not theory.” https://ow.ly/kMxT50X9FhO #evtolinsights #odysaviation #seriesafunding #investment #funding #advancedairmobility #flighttesting #usa #electricaviation #california

Our latest podcast episode is now! This week, we were delighted to be joined by Dr. John Maris, President of Marivent Corporation and Cert Center Canada (3C). He shares a wealth of insight drawn from decades of experience in aircraft certification, flight testing, and aerospace innovation. The conversation explores how 3C helps emerging aerospace companies navigate the complexities of certification — from developing early-stage roadmaps to guiding OEMs through compliance and testing. Dr. Maris explains why certification isn’t an end-of-project task but a continuous process, comparing it to the long and rigorous testing cycles of new pharmaceuticals. He also highlights the unique technical and regulatory hurdles facing eVTOL developers, such as the limitations of current battery technology, the evolving frameworks from EASA and the FAA, and the critical role of human factors and simulation in ensuring safety. https://lnkd.in/dACG9zNx #evtolinsights #certcentercanada #canada #evtol #certification #podcast #mariventcorporation #newepisode #listen #advancedairmobility #electricaviation
