About us
Expert Psychology Consultancy Ltd offers a range of psychological services to the legal professions, organisations and individuals. We offer expert witness assessments and reports in both family and criminal proceedings, for adults, adolescents and children. We also carry out cognitive and capacity assessments, along with psychological reports for 'medico-legal' purposes. Our practice also offers psychological therapies to adults, adolescents and children, in individual or group formats. We can also offer consultancy and advice on the development of in-patient hospital systems and system dynamics, including the creation of effective, systemically embedded psychology services. In addition, we offer a range of training courses, including the treatment of personality disorder in in-patient settings, risk assessment (e.g HCR-20 Version 3) and conflict resolution skills We have practices based in Bury, Greater Manchester, and in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, and services can be provided nationwide and can be offered both within and outside of normal working hours. ACE Parenting Course We are currently receiving referrals for our ACE Parenting Course; run by our sister company Illustratio, but the same staff as EPC. This course focuses upon teaching parents how their behaviours affect the psychological development of their children from in utero and throughout their childhood. The aim is to make parents more aware of the long-lasting psychological damage of ACE in order to enhance their parenting and reduce the risks to children of psychological damage, which can then recur with the children of those children. It runs as a weekly course. The cost is only £480 per client, and includes an end of therapy report; but a reduced fee can be negotiated for a block booking. If you would like to enquire about, or indeed refer to, the course, please email us at [email protected] or at office.illustratio.co.uk. We believe that this is an innovative intervention that can very much assist parents in changing how they parent their children, thereby preventing separation.
