Thank you, Toronto! 🍁    Our Grow London Global North America fintech trade mission kicked off in style, with an impactful programme in Canada’s financial capital.   Over two days, our Grow London Global fintech companies engaged with some of the most influential players in the Canadian ecosystem.    We’re incredibly grateful to the Canadian Bankers Association for hosting our landing session and to Alana Barnes, CPA/CMA and Michael Dugeri for their insights into Canada’s digital policy landscape 🙌    👏 A huge thank you to Ryan Grundy (Payments Canada), Zamir Rahemtulla (Interac Corp.), Amanda Ramkissoon (Ontario Securities Commission), Steven Dickie and the team at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP for a dynamic panel on fintech regulation and market entry.    🪙 At Desjardins, we were welcomed by Mirela Pirlea, Marika Tassoni and their colleagues for a knowledge sharing and opportunity discovery with pitching.   Our session with CIBC, featuring Richard Jardim, David Gillespie and Douglas G Carter, was a big standout moment of engagement and discussion with senior leadership 🤝    ✨ We wrapped up day 1 with a brilliant evening at the Residence of the British Consul General, where our London Comes to Toronto reception brought together 70+ local investors, potential buyers, partners, Canadian fintechs and our UK delegates for an evening of connection and collaboration. Thanks to Victor Fedeli, Fouzia Younis and Stephen Lund ICD.D! Tuesday gave us the chance to hear from Daire Burke at Swoop Finance, a GLG alumnus, who shared a compelling case study on scaling into North America from the UK. 🏦 We met with Canada’s largest bank at RBCx, with huge thanks to Alexander Barclay for hearing pitches from our Grow London Global companies.
