Last week, we came together in Suffolk for our quarterly team offsite. As a remote-first team, these quarterly trips are essential—a time to reconnect, accelerate our goals, have fun, and learn more about each other. It was time well spent for our team, leaving us recharged, aligned, and set to build on our momentum.

I agree with everyone complaining about the CGT changes - but I also think we need to stop being whiny little bitches and just build elite companies in the UK anyway. The main thing that needs to change is our culture & mindset, not our taxation system. We need to think big, and aim higher. We must bring back GREAT Britain. This is the country that brought us parliamentary democracy, individual rights and the limitation of state power (via the Magna Carta & Habeas Corpus), modern property law, the Enlightenment, the Industrial Revolution, textiles manufacturing, the steam engine, the railroads, mining and steel production, modern shipbuilding, penicillin, television, the jet engine, the electric motor, the computer and vaccination. We basically invented the USA. We have four of the top 10 universities in the world - incredible density of talent in life sciences and AI in particular. The Golden Triangle is a hotbed of startup activity. London is one of the world’s great metropolises and is not going anywhere. It’s a melting pot of rich culture, with artists, financiers, tech people, politicians, filmmakers and everything in between from across the globe rubbing shoulders and exchanging ideas Greatness runs deep in the veins of this country and it has a HELL of a lot going for it. We should be proud to be British (this is lacking - I’m genetically Irish and more proud to be British than many of my fully English friends). The millennial generation in the UK has witnessed a very bad run for the country. But hard times create strong people. We will rebuild it better. Founders - ignore the noise. Just be an absolute animal and go win. Do whatever it takes. Let’s f*cking go people
