Journey Further has officially reached the heart of government 🏛️ A while ago, I wrote a post praising Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) for using TikTok influencers to push important public health messaging about the risks of having cosmetic surgery abroad. The audience searching for — and in some cases booking — these sometimes dangerous procedures over-indexes on social, where peer influence and aesthetics often outweigh medical credibility. I was later invited to present to DHSC’s comms team on how to build trust through a targeted content and channels strategy — one that connects with the audience’s sources of influence, emotional drivers, and intent — while navigating the challenges of alternative media, misinformation, and the fragmented digital landscape.
