We’re delighted to celebrate the continued growth of our city’s innovation district with the announcement that Sciontec Developments Limited has retained and expanded its serviced office contract at RCP Spaces at The Spine, located in Paddington Village - our flagship development site in Knowledge Quarter Liverpool (KQ Liverpool). Following a successful tender process, Sciontec will now manage additional space on the 12th floor of The Spine, alongside its existing footprint on the first, second, and tenth floors. This expansion includes the introduction of new hotdesking ‘day passes’, further enhancing accessibility and flexibility for pioneering organisations seeking world-class workspaces. This milestone reflects the strength of our collaborative efforts with Sciontec and the Royal College of Physicians, whose northern headquarters are proudly housed within The Spine. Together, we are cultivating a vibrant ecosystem where innovation, education, and enterprise thrive. The Spine is more than just a building - it’s a symbol of Liverpool’s ambition to lead in health, science, and technology. With tenants including Zempler Bank, the University of Liverpool, Morgan Sindall Construction, Clixels, and RTC North, the building is already home to a dynamic mix of organisations driving forward progress in their fields. Sciontec’s expanded role at The Spine complements its broader portfolio across KQ Liverpool, which includes Liverpool Science Park , CENTRAL TECH, and the upcoming HEMISPHERE development - 110,000 sqft of new lab and office space adjacent to The Spine. This achievement is a testament to the power of partnership. As a joint owner of Sciontec, Liverpool City Council remains committed to supporting the development of inclusive, sustainable, and future-ready workspaces that attract talent, investment, and opportunity to our city. We are excited to see Sciontec continue to deliver excellence in workspace management and customer service, and we look forward to welcoming even more forward-thinking organisations to The Spine and the wider KQ Liverpool district. Together, we are building a city where innovation is not just encouraged - it’s embedded in our infrastructure, our partnerships, and our vision for the future. ✨ I’m delighted to be speaking at the GottaBe! Marketing “Everyone Doing It Together” event during Black History Month. I’ll be joining an inspiring lineup to explore how Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) can be meaningfully embedded in marketing and communications—not just as a campaign moment, but as a core principle of how we engage, represent and connect. Looking forward to sharing ideas, learning from others, and celebrating the power of inclusivity. 🗣️📣 #BlackHistoryMonth #EDI #MarketingForChange #InclusiveCommunications #GottaBeEthnic
