The VeChain team recently attended London Blockchain Conference, presenting an opportunity to share insights and updates about the VeChain ecosystem, to eager and attentive audiences. During the conference, the team deep dived in to VeBetter - an app ecosystem of over 40 applications, which recently hit 5 million accounts. At its core, a simple mission: Reward people for simple habits they can do daily, that advances sustainability in some way. Many great follows conversations have been had, and we look forward to welcoming new prospective builders and projects in to the ecosystem. Just wrapped up an incredible week at the London Blockchain Conference, where innovation and collaboration took center stage. The live talks featured some of the brightest minds in blockchain and digital assets, offering fresh perspectives on regulation, tokenisation, compliance, and the future landscape of real-world applications. Each panel was packed with practical insights and driven by a passion for fostering ecosystem growth and interoperability. The event brought together a vibrant mix of leaders, founders, and disruptors from across Web3 and the broader fintech landscape. It was a pleasure to connect in person with brilliant professionals like Armin Peter (Global Digital Finance), Sonia Chawla (Schroders), Emma Lovett (J.P. Morgan), Ben Elvidge, CFA (Trillitech), and Sabih Behzad (Deutsche Bank), each offering unique perspectives on where blockchain meets real-world utility. Another standout session was “MiCA in Action: Europe’s New Rulebook,” featuring an impressive panel of experts: Juan Ignacio Ibañez (MiCA Crypto Alliance), Laurent Marochini (Societe Generale Luxembourg), Christian Mohr (Simmons & Simmons), Seamus Andrew (Velitor Law), Vivek CHAUDHARY (Fnality), and Thomas Giacomo (SwissBorg). Their insights covered the complexities and opportunities of implementing MiCA regulations across Europe, including legal, operational, and business perspectives. The discussion reinforced how regulatory clarity and collaborative leadership are essential for the evolution of digital assets and market integrity. Another particularly engaging live session was led by Dr. Bernhard Kronfellner from Boston Consulting Group (BCG), who provided a strategic framework on how commercial banks can approach stablecoins. The panel explored a spectrum of options, from issuing their own digital tokens and forming consortiums to integrating tokenized deposits, highlighting the pathways for banks to adapt and thrive in the evolving digital finance landscape. This discussion underscored the pivotal role of established institutions in shaping the next era of money, regulation, and user trust. The Stand With Crypto side event showcased the power and energy of our global community, with leading projects and partners uniting to advance the cause of responsible innovation and open markets. It was great to see so many impactful organizations coming together to champion the Web3 movement. A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone I met and reconnected with throughout the week. #Stablecoins: The quiet revolution roars - “It’s not hype at all.” Chairing the panel is Kene Ezeji-Okoye, Chief Blockchain Officer at Ubyx. He says the panel was originally pitched as ‘the quiet revolution’ of stablecoins. “Safe to say, the revolution is not so quiet anymore.” This change he attributes to big catalysts: Trump’s election, the Stripe acquisition of Bridge, and the passage of the GENIUS Act. Marian Scheele, senior counsel at Clifford Chance, agrees: “It’s serious business right now. It’s not hype at all. The figures speak for themselves. What we see now is the huge dominance of USD-backed stablecoins. But we also see there’s a lot of interest in other types of stablecoins."
