The UK's largest specialist wine retailer, helping our customers discover wines, beers and spirits you'll love.

About us

Majestic is the UK’s largest specialist wine retailer. We were founded in London more than 40 years ago and have grown to operate more than 200 stores nationwide, alongside our fast-growing on-trade supply division, Majestic Commercial. Our mission is to help our customers discover wines, beers and spirits they will love. We always go one step further to ensure they have a fantastic personalised experience in store – whether that's through our in-store tasting counters, expert recommendations, our unique no-quibble refund guarantee, free glass hire, or our carry-to-car service. As a national specialist, it's our responsibility to have a market-leading, innovative range. That's why our multi-award-winning buying team is always on the hunt for products that combine real quality with value. And each of our 1,400 wines, beers and spirits has something truly special to offer. We pride ourselves on our friendly, expert colleagues both in the Support Centre and in our stores – our key strength is over 1,000 WSET trained colleagues offering knowledgeable service across all channels. In fact, we’re one of Europe’s biggest wine educators. Our Majestic Commercial B2B division now supplies more than 3,000 gastropubs, bars, restaurants, fine dining venues and hospitality operators across the UK. Our unique proposition combining the buying power and expertise of a national specialist, with the local, personalised service from our store teams, has allowed us to secure high-profile partners including Manchester City Football Club and the prestigious JCB Golf & Country Club.

  • It’s Truro time! Cornwall’s corks were popping this morning as we opened the doors to our newest store on Truro’s Fairmantle Street. We were given a warm welcome by a host of new customers, as well as some familiar faces who already shop with us in nearby Falmouth. Our second store in the county is the result of an incredible effort by our property teams, transforming the former Iceland supermarket into a 5,100 sq ft wine emporium. The store stocks more than 1,200 wines, plus a growing range of premium beers, spirits, low and no alcohol alternatives, snacks, gifts and accessories, and has its own tasting counter, hosting free wine tastings seven days a week.  The store will also support our growing Majestic Commercial business in the region, supplying our on-trade exclusive wines to gastropubs, bars, restaurants, hotels and other hospitality venues across the county from its own dedicated delivery van. Huge thanks to everyone who has already paid us a visit today, and we’re looking forward to helping even more Truro residents discover new wines, beers and spirits they will love! ✂️ Mayor of Truro Cllr Chris Wells 📸 Linas Kupstys #TogetherWeAreMajestic #ProudToBeMajestic #Truro #NewStores #retail #wine

  • We’ve only gone and done it! After a monumental effort from teams across all parts of our business, we have officially completed our epic Majestic Miles challenge, covering an incredible 45,000 miles in the space of just 45 days… and with a few hours to spare! Our teams ran marathons, climbed mountains, tackled triathlons, rowed down rivers, cycled country roads and trekked through forests to get us to our mammoth mileage target. We even took our challenge global, as colleagues logged their steps in locations as far afield as France, Portugal, Turkey and Mexico.      Their collective efforts will raise funds for The Majestic Charitable Foundation, making a huge impact for our three national charity partners – The Brain Tumour Charity, Campaign Against Living Miserably and Child Bereavement UK – and the families they support in all four corners of the country.    We couldn’t have completed this huge challenge without the encouragement and kind donations we have received from our customers, suppliers, friends and family over the last six weeks – thank you all for your amazing support. Thanks also to the teams at our three charity partners for sharing their passion and expertise around fundraising challenges, and to the Charity Miles app for helping us collate all of our miles into one place and track our daily progress. While our challenge may be over, we need just a little more help from you all if we are to reach our £45,000 fundraising target… please give what you can to our brilliant charity partners, all of which are close to our colleagues’ hearts, by clicking the link below. Every pound can help us make a real difference for even more people across the UK.    https://lnkd.in/e8R4iwyt In the meantime, let’s raise a toast to our incredible colleagues 🥂 ✅45 days ✅45,000 miles ⏳£45,000 raised #TogetherWeAreMajestic #ProudToBeMajestic #MajesticMiles #charity #fundraising

  • We’re gearing up for what’s set to be our biggest-ever Golden Quarter at Majestic – and we’re on the lookout for 150 new colleagues to help us deliver another majestic Christmas for wine lovers around the country. We’ll be expanding our expert team with a combination of permanent positions and temporary festive roles across our 216 stores, setting us up for success during our peak trading period and as we head into 2026. The roles on offer include delivery drivers, sales assistants, assistant managers and trainee managers, many of which are low-hours contracts to provide flexible employment opportunities. The permanent vacancies up for grabs include roles at Majestic’s new store in Truro, Cornwall, which opens for business this Friday. Majestic Managing Director Elizabeth Newman said: “We live for Christmas at Majestic – it’s our busiest time of year, but also our most exciting and most enjoyable. Our stores are always absolutely buzzing and our proposition really comes into its own, helping our customers discover new wines to taste with their friends and families over the festive period. “If you love wine and want to join a passionate and fast-paced team, we could have the perfect role for you at Majestic.” Visit our careers website to check out all available opportunities in your area: https://lnkd.in/eH-c89Wp Read the full story on Retail Gazette: https://lnkd.in/ew9xxrHA #WeAreMajestic #winejobs #retailjobs #wine #retail #hiringnow

We are incredibly proud that Majestic has been shortlisted for the Partnership Breakthrough Award at this year’s Pennies Awards. This recognition is testament to the power of micro-donations and reflects our commitment to supporting causes close to our colleagues’ hearts including our long-term partnerships with Child Bereavement UK, The Brain Tumour Charity and Campaign Against Living Miserably. Thank you to our incredible colleagues and customers for their dedication and generosity. More than half a million donations equating to over £117,000 have been made in our stores since our Pennies launch last Autumn, with one in every five customers adding a micro-donation to their purchase 🙌 Congratulations to all of the other businesses that have been nominated for awards this year. We look forward to finding out the winners on 12th November. #TogetherWeAreMajestic #ProudToBeMajestic #PenniesAwards2025 #MicroDonations #MakingADifference #Charity

  • Earlier this week, we showcased a magnificent line-up of more than 100 products in our Autumn 2025 Press Tasting at Marylebone Cricket Club's iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground – one of our valued Majestic Commercial on-trade customers. Our Buying and PR teams transformed the Compton’s Suite into a true celebration of the season, bringing to life the breadth and diversity of our range across styles, varietals and price points. Alongside new additions to our award-winning wine range, our guests also discovered exciting new spirits, sake, plus limited-edition Christmas parcels and the debut of our new olive oils and snacks. Huge thanks to everyone who took the time to join us and share such positive feedback – and of course to our colleagues for hosting another cracking event to toast the season in true Majestic style. #TogetherWeAreMajestic #ProudToBeMajestic #wine #WineTasting #PressTasting #spirits #ChristmasAtMajestic

  • Huge thanks to our partners at WX Brands for their generous donation to our Majestic Miles charity auction, winning a “Walk and Talk (and some wine!)” with our Majestic MD, Elizabeth Newman, and buyer Zara Cassidy. Elizabeth and Zara were joined by Claire Greenwood and Maria Perak at the weekend on a six-mile route through London, battling the rain and gale force winds to visit a number of Majestic Wine stores and our newest Vagabond Wines bar, in St Paul’s. The walk formed part of our Majestic Miles challenge, with hundreds of colleagues across the business walking, running, cycling, hiking, swimming, rowing and kayaking their way to a combined total of 45,000 miles in just 45 days. With just a week to go to hit our ambitious target, your donations will give us all the inspiration we need to make it over the line! All money raised will support the Majestic Charitable Foundation’s three nationwide charity partners – Campaign Against Living Miserably, Child Bereavement UK and The Brain Tumour Charity – as well as a host of smaller local charities in all four corners of the country. • Huge thanks to our partners at Thomson & Scott NOUGHTY who provided a very generous donation to our charity auction, winning a bike ride and lunch with our CEO John Colley earlier today. John was joined by Thomson & Scott Managing Director Oliver Jones on a 45km route in Hampshire, followed by a hard-earned bite to eat at a Winchester pub. Their winning bid will be added to the coffers we are raising for The Majestic Charitable Foundation through our Majestic Miles challenge, in which hundreds of our colleagues are walking, running, cycling, hiking, swimming, rowing and kayaking their way to a combined total of 45,000 miles in just 45 days.  Following the success of this morning’s ride, we've convinced John to auction off up to three more charity rides between now and the end of our Majestic Miles challenge, on 15th October. Not even the tube strikes could stop our Majestic teams from getting their hands on two prestigious trophies at the IWC Industry Awards 2025 in London last night. We retained our title as Large Multiple Retailer of the Year - a testament to the specialist, market-leading product and service proposition we provide our customers in store and online every single day.  We also tightened our grip on the Rosé Retailer of Year category, taking home the crown for an incredible fourth consecutive year. The judging panel recognised the further progress we have made in a key category, curating a high-quality proposition of wines for our customers to discover. Majestic were also named as finalists in four other categories, highlighting our ongoing strength in Champagne & Sparkling and France; the expertise of our brilliant buying team; and the rapid growth of our Majestic Commercial on-trade business. Huge congratulations to all of our colleagues on their well-deserved recognition, and to all of last night’s fellow winners 🥂 #TogetherWeAreMajestic #ProudToBeMajestic #IWC2025 #WineAwards #wine #retail Keith Blessley Elizabeth Newman Jane Masters MW Matthew Fowkes

  • You can always bank on Majestic to help you discover new wines, beers and spirits you will love – but that rings particularly true if you’re a resident of Wimborne Minster. That’s because we’ve invested in transforming a former bank in the popular West Borough into our latest new store. Our property teams have retained the building’s listed features, including converting the old bank vault into a bespoke space that will host ticketed wine tasting events throughout the year, led by our highly qualified store colleagues. The 3,000 sq ft store stocks our full range of more than 1,200 high-quality wines, beers and spirits, including a dedicated area for 72 fine wines, as well as our growing ranges of snacks, accessories and greetings cards. The store’s dedicated electric van will fulfil online orders for customers, and deliver our award-winning Majestic Commercial on-trade proposition to local gastropubs, bars and restaurants. The Wimborne Minster store is our second opening in Dorset in as many weeks, following our successful launch in Christchurch last month. Watch this space for further updates on our bricks and mortar expansion plans as we prepare to touch down in Truro… ✂️ Mayor of Wimborne Minster Cllr Jeff Hart 📸 Linas Kupstys 🎂 Muddy Bakes and Wedding Cakes #TogetherWeAreMajestic #ProudToBeMajestic #wine #beer #spirits #retail #NewStores #WimborneMinster #Dorset

  • It’s go time! Today marks the start of ‘Majestic Miles’, the charity challenge we’ve launched to celebrate Majestic Wine’s 45th birthday. Over the course of the next 45 days, our intrepid colleagues will walk, run, hike, cycle, swim, row and kayak their way to a combined total of 45,000 miles, all to raise funds for our Majestic Charitable Foundation. Our Foundation is proud to support three main national charities: The Brain Tumour Charity, Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) and Child Bereavement UK – all of which are incredibly close to our colleagues’ hearts. And as you can see, the number 45 is just as meaningful for them as it is for us. We’ll be keeping you updated on our team’s progress throughout the next six-and-a-half weeks as we inch towards our mammoth total. If you’d like to find out more about our efforts and the charities we’re supporting, or donate to the cause, visit https://lnkd.in/e8R4iwyt. Every pound we raise will make a huge difference to families in need right across the country. Thank you – and good luck to all of our colleagues around the country who have already started pounding pavements, climbing mountains and paddling down rivers. Together, we are Majestic. #MajesticMiles #TogetherWeAreMajestic #ProudToBeMajestic #charity #fundraising
