🚀 Embracing the AI Exponential Growth Curve and Thinking Big - What if the cost of intelligence became essentially the cost of energy? This morning at #Gitex Dubai, I had the privilege of listening to visionary leaders including Sam Altman (OpenAI), Peng Xiao (G42), and other pioneers as they unveiled their bold visions on the future of #AI. The message was clear: AI is no longer just a tool — it’s becoming a way of life. In G42’s chairman office, there are already 10 AI agents for every human! And the economic impact is undeniable — AI is generating unprecedented productivity gains for Software engineers around the world. Amazon Web Services (AWS) shared that it has already saved $260M in development costs thanks to AI assistants. The next frontier is scientific research where AI has started making small contributions. But scaling AI comes with enormous infrastructure demands. A single 1GW AI campus costs $50B — from servers and liquid cooling to energy, connectivity and AI models. In the long term the cost of intelligence will likely equate to the cost of energy and nations must invest in efficient and sustainable power. This is why the #UAE's Stargate project is so bold: a planned 5GW campus to transform energy into intelligence and export it across 3,000 km. In this vision, intelligence becomes the "new oil", with low-latency, secure connectivity acting as the “digital corridors” to deliver it worldwide. And yet, amid all this ambition, one point struck me most: a child born in 2025 may never match AI’s intelligence. While risks around jobs and superintelligence remain, today’s focus is on keeping humans at the center — using AI to augment, not replace. 💡 My reflection: This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity for the Telecom industry to step up as the backbone of this transformation, enabling the distribution and sharing of intelligence across the globe. Driving AI-powered Autonomous Networks and ultra high speed broadband is the way to get there. The pace is exponential. The vision is bold.
