My session explored how AI is reshaping global and European markets: 1️⃣Global AI Market AI-driven companies are driving public markets to all-time highs, with $114B in AI VC funding in H1 2025, mostly into infrastructure. Are we in a bubble? Maybe - but hyperscalers are ramping up capex in anticipation of customer demand. Watching how this unfolds will be key to spotting future market corrections. 2️⃣ AI Driving Real Productivity Gains Adoption rates has been unprecedented: ChatGPT reached 100M users in just two months. OpenAI is at a $10B revenue run rate and Anthropic at $5B. Enterprises are leveraging AI across engineering, marketing, and customer engagement to drive efficiency and impact. 3️⃣ Europe’s AI Landscape – Why We’re Excited Local market nuances and regulations - particularly in healthcare and law - create opportunities for vertical AI champions. Coupled with Europe’s strong AI research ecosystem and rising major exits (e.g., Klarna $15B IPO, Sana $1B sale), it’s an exciting environment for European entrepreneurs 4️⃣ The New Investor Playbook AI-native start-ups are scaling from $0 → $3-5M ARR faster than ever. This rapid growth brings new diligence challenges, including understanding revenue retention. Gross margins are often lower (30-50% vs. 70-80% for traditional SaaS), but efficiency gains and faster sales cycles often compensate.
