This #WorldMentalHealth day, we're shining a light on recovery, resilience and the power of community. We visited Damien John Kelly House in Liverpool, an adult recovery living centre - where football and feeling part of something is more than just a game, it's genuinely a lifeline. Through sporting and artistic activities, housemates at DJK learn to participate in life again - and football on a Thursday, is the highlight of the week.

Arriving in time for the World Cup knockout stages, the boot blends cutting-edge innovation with Ellie’s fearless style. With only 400 pairs available worldwide, this is one of the lightest, fastest boots we’ve ever made. As Simon Rowe, SVP of Canterbury, puts it: “Ellie is world class and we are really lucky to have her as part of the Canterbury team. Speedo has partnered with Loughborough University, one of the UK’s leading sports institutions and home to an Aquatics GB national training centre. Over the next four years, Loughborough’s swimmers, from grassroots Swim School participants to international athletes will train and compete in Speedo kit. The partnership will also support the redevelopment of Loughborough’s swimming pool, ensuring world class facilities for the next generation. As Robert Ashcroft, SVP at Speedo, explains: “Loughborough’s programme has produced some of Britain’s best swimming talent. This morning, we're proud to share news of our collaboration with outdoor brand Berghaus Ltd, whose new ZonalAdapt legwear technology — launched today — has been shaped by scientific testing and analysis at Newcastle University. ZonalAdapt responds to a clear market need: outdoor gear that truly adapts to the female form. 🧵 To address this, Berghaus partnered with our experts in biomechanics and sports science, applying advanced physiological testing and biomechanical modelling to ensure the final product supports women’s comfort and performance in the outdoors. The collaboration also gave our undergraduate students hands-on experience at the leading edge of performance product testing — bringing research, innovation, and education together. The real experiences that women face outdoors but that performance wear has too often ignored. The result? A world-first responsive legwear technology, shaped by over 100 women, anatomists, scientists and our brilliant in-house teams.
