How can an organisation turn an ambition to harness data for national impact into a practical, organisation-wide strategy? That’s the challenge Careers Wales set out to address. Working together, we developed a user-centred Data Strategy and roadmap to build a data-confident organisation, strengthen decision-making, and improve how data informs careers guidance across Wales. The strategy was shaped through organisation-wide engagement, benchmarking, and co-design, creating clear priorities and a Now / Next / Later roadmap to turn insight into action. • Effective public services need to be “digital by design”, not just digital by default. In his guest column for Business News Wales, Tim Daley argues that true digital transformation in the public sector isn’t just about rolling out new technology, but rather it’s about: - Designing services that work for citizens and for the teams that deliver them. - Creating seamless end-to-end journeys across digital, phone, and face-to-face channels. - Integrating systems and processes so people don’t have to repeat themselves. - Emphasising openness, showing what’s being built, sharing failures as well as successes. - Collaborating across organisations and the supply chain to combine scale, innovation, and agility. - Making adoption inevitable by building trust, clarity, and genuine benefits. Tim also discusses these themes in a Wales Tech Week , sharing real-world lessons from public sector transformation. 👉 Read the full article and listen here: https://lnkd.in/e9egbete

    Managing Director at Perago

This week I had the opportunity to share the stage with my colleague Emma Northcote MSc MCIPR at Sanderson's first Women in Tech event in Wales where we talked about the importance of values and inclusion in building companies, careers and services. It was an absolute pleasure to then join fellow panellists Shelby Wilson, Stephanie Darbin (Donohue) and Claire Owen for a frank, open and supportive conversation about the challenges and opportunities for women in tech. What a warm, engaging audience. I had so many conversations I didn't even get chance to eat the lunch that was put on! Thank you to everyone who attended and took the time to say hello, to Rebecca Evans for calling in to give her support in her role as Cabinet Secretary (and my constituency MS!) and to Abigail Tittley for inviting us to be involved.

    • I am standing at the front left of the room behind a pop up Perago banner, Emma is stood front right. Between us is a large screen with the words 'The Perago Way'. You can see the backs of the audience sat in red chairs listening to us speak.
  • Come on the road with Perago! Over the coming months, we’ll be connecting with local government leaders, trailblazers in digital, data, and transformation, as well as all the change-makers shaping the future of public services. From Cardiff to Leeds, our teams will be attending and speaking at a series of exciting events. 🎥 Here’s a sneak peek of our journey, watch the video to see where we’ll be next!

We have some big news to share. After 12 months of hard work, internal and external audits, and a lot of reflection on how we work, we're now ISO 27001 (information security), ISO 9001 (quality management) and ISO 14001 (environmental management) certified! This isn’t just about certificates. For us, it’s about accountability. These accreditations show the people we work with that they can trust us to handle information securely, deliver consistently, and take responsibility for our environmental impact. These accreditations set the bar we’ll continue to measure ourselves against, helping us improve, stay sharp, and keep doing the right thing, every day. You can read more about why this matters to us, and what it means for our clients and partners, in Dave's latest blog https://lnkd.in/enhBSPMF
