  • What an honour to attend the National Harvest Service at Westminster Abbey today. The most fruitful day celebrating farming, food and all the traditions of the most splendid Harvest Service. A culmination of Alexia Robinson’s passion, hard work and dedication to championing British. It was wonderful to see the food and farming community coming together to celebrate the dedication of farmers who work tirelessly to produce our food and those that distribute it, especially when we know so many have so little. It was a truly wonderful celebration and an honour to be part of such a great day and spend it with so many of our clients and contacts across the industry. • As today is Mind #WorldMentalHealthDay, we thought we’d share what the Pinstone team are doing to support our own, and each other’s, mental health. It’s universally acknowledged that spending time with animals is beneficial to our moods and every member of the Pinstone team has animals in their life. Whether it’s a dog walk, riding out on horseback or a morning greeting from the farm animals, we all enjoy what our four-legged friends bring to our lives. Others in the team like to use arts and crafts as a form of therapy, some enjoy cooking or baking, and for many it is spending quality time with loved ones that really makes them feel recharged. The Pinstone office is always a hive of activity, but we take care of each other at the same time. A refilled cup of coffee, an offer to support on workload, or a simple acknowledgement of “you’re doing great” can all make the difference in the day-to-day mental health of the team. The beauty of agency life is that even when we’re busy, we’re never alone. #agencylife #mentalhealth #teamwork

  • On this very wet and autumnal day at the start of October, we’re reflecting on another busy month at Pinstone. The team have been working hard throughout September between supporting our lovely clients, meeting new potential clients and attending key events. We have also been planning something really exciting for Pinstone – watch this space!   Hannah Lloyd, Ben Briggs Nina Stewart (née Lloyd Jones) and Amy Corfield were at UK Dairy Day, networking with clients and keeping the Pinstone finger on the pulse of all things dairy. Meanwhile Beth Dixon and Erica Thomas braved the rain at the Agroforestry Show to find out the latest from the fantastic speaker line up.  The team were also out on farms, at a maize open day and went to London for a very exciting pitch. From building and nurturing stakeholder relations to reputation management and executing top tier PR, we consistently go the extra mile to deliver exceptional results for our clients come rain or shine. At Pinstone, we’re embedded in the sectors we support and continuously push ourselves to deepen our knowledge and stay ahead of the curve. We’re excited for the months ahead, with lots of new opportunities on the horizon.

  • At Pinstone, we love food! We enjoy eating it, we love talking about it, and we’re fortunate to be involved in helping promote Love British Food too. That’s why we’re so excited that it’s British Food Fortnight from today until 12th October – what better opportunity to celebrate and enjoy the amazing produce we have right on our doorsteps. This fortnight is all about growing, cooking and championing local, seasonal ingredients – from ‘making the switch’ to British in our regular shop to choosing dishes featuring home grown produce when we eat out. With food and farming at the heart of so much of our client work at Pinstone, we’re proud to support British farmers and growers all year-round. Now in its 24th year, British Food Fortnight has never been more relevant, and it provides an important platform to champion food security, sustainability, and food sovereignty. Over the past few months, we’ve had the pleasure of working with some incredible partners from across the food supply chain, who have helped bring this year’s campaign to life: Morrisons, Fresh Direct (UK), Glebe Farm Foods, Brakes UK, Compass Group, OCS, BonCulina Foodservice UK, Harrison Catering Services, Essential Cuisine, Play @ Lower Drayton Farm, Fairburns Eggs, The British Hamper Company, The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, HG Walter, Whitby Seafoods Ltd, Local Food Links, Derbyshire County Council, Honeybuns, Farrington Oils Ltd, Deersbrook FarmBeef &amp How will you be celebrating #BritishFoodFortnight?

  • Earth and Education – a Pinstone podcast season worth digging into. From classrooms to crime labs, from food production to regenerative farming – each episode in our latest Comms Cast podcast season offers a fresh perspective, yet all connect back to one powerful truth: soil shapes our world. Through our Bees Knees Comms Cast, we’ve brought together four fascinating voices who each show why what’s beneath the surface matters: 🎙 Carl Edwards (LEAF) – inspiring young minds about farming, food, and climate. 🎙 Alexia Robinson (Love British Food) – championing British growers and producers. 🎙 Prof Lorna Dawson, CBE, FRSE, FRSA, FRSB, FRSGS (James Hutton Institute) – revealing the hidden stories in soil. 🎙 Clare Hill (Roots to Regeneration) – proving the power of storytelling in farming’s transition. 👉 Listen to all the episodes in our Earth and Education podcast season now via our website or wherever you get your podcasts. Together, these episodes remind us all of the different ways we can break down and communicate the complex values of soil, farming, and food – and why it’s so important to do this. Don’t forget to subscribe, like and share if you enjoy listening, we really value feedback from our listeners.

  • As we reflect on a hot, dry August, we're diving into some of our highlights for the month. While many of us have been glad of the air-conditioning in the Pinstone office, we know for farmers the reality has been far tougher. Harvest done in record timing, yields under pressure, and grazing left looking more like savanna than pasture - the weather’s extremes are more than a talking point, they’re a business-critical challenge keeping farmers awake at night. Each season brings a new set of hurdles, and while many of us experience these on our own farms at home, what’s always inspiring is how farmers unite, adapt and push on regardless. #Farm24 at the beginning of August was a great example of how the farming community pulls together, and our team enjoyed having the opportunity to share their passion for farming and food production. Many of us live and breathe farming, at work and at home, so we loved seeing the nation talking about the importance of our farmers and what they do. We always enjoy having the chance to get away from the four walls of the office, whether that’s to interview a farmer for a case study, or networking on behalf of a client at an event. This month we’ve travelled to maize trials in Nantwich, a dairy farm in Lanarkshire, and a sheep photoshoot right on our doorstep in Ludlow. Halfway through the month, we also welcomed Ben Briggs to the team as an associate director. This is an exciting development for the Pinstone team and we’re already enjoying working with Ben on some of our client briefs. The school summer holidays have seen many of the team enjoying well-earned breaks to spend time with their families. The beauty of agency life is that whilst some are putting their feet up (or running around trying to put suncream on the kids), there are always other members of the team busy creating new compelling content and making sure our clients are supported throughout their PR campaigns. There really is no such thing as a quiet month for Pinstone.

  • Rooted in passion, driven by progress – Pinstone takes part in #Farm24 to show support for a thriving farming future. As ever we are delighted to be showing our support for the 2025 Farmers Guardian #Farm24 campaign. With many of our team and clients having strong connections to British farming, we’re proud to raise our voices for an industry we’re so passionate about, both at work and at home.

  • The news is out, we’re thrilled to welcome Ben Briggs to Pinstone as an Associate Director, officially joining us later this month on 18th August.    Ben brings a formidable track record spanning over two decades in agricultural journalism, media, and corporate communications. As former editor and publisher of Farmers Guardian, he led the title through the most successful commercial period in its 180-year history, pioneering its digital and social growth.     More recently, he’s been immersed in the dynamic world of agri-tech at the UK Agri-Tech Centre, steering its marcomms through a politically nuanced landscape.    Rooted in a farming background, Ben’s passion for rural affairs and the power of great communication is undeniable. His wealth of industry insight and editorial acumen will bring huge value to our clients as he works with our team who are shaping strategic and meaningful PR campaigns for our clients across the food, farming and environmental sectors.    He joins at an exciting time for our agency, during our 20th year. We will have some more insights to share soon so keep an eye out for that too.     #AgriComms #PR #Agriculture #RuralAffairs #TeamPinstone

  • Well, July has certainly been a busy one for team Pinstone…    From a wide range of events to farm visits and PR campaigns galore, it’s been a full-on month of learning, listening, celebrating and creating compelling content. At Groundswell Agriculture, the overriding positivity and array of inspirational speakers made for an infectious experience, and we couldn’t help but come away feeling full of optimism for the future of farming and food production.   Collaboration to build resilience and regenerative principles from the ground up across the whole value chain is bringing about some exciting developments.   Changing viewpoint entirely, some of our team travelled from the Groundswell fields to the centre of London for the Chartered Institute of Public Relations awards – talk about a contrast in environment! It was very gratifying to see our Ruminant Health & Welfare work with AHDB - Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board on the important industry response to the Bluetongue virus up in lights, being shortlisted for three PR awards. We didn’t take home any awards on the night, but what matters is it being recognised for the outtakes and impact that the campaign continues to deliver, making a real difference. A field trip to Wildfarmed was a fascinating and hands-on day, with their approach to regenerative farming and marketing their brand showcased through the immersion of all five senses – Hannah Lloyd really got to see, hear, smell, taste and touch the incredible Wildfarmed full experience there. Supporting our team’s continued professional development remains an important priority at Pinstone. We were delighted that Erica Thomas  had the opportunity to attend the industry renowned British Guild of Agricultural Journalists John Deere writing course in July. It was a fantastic experience and a chance to glean more in-depth industry knowledge from communications experts David Mascord, Charlie Reeve and Alex Black. Not forgetting the farms we’ve visited and live on, doing their best to harvest during this incredibly hot, dry summer. This is just a snapshot of our month, and it’s all in a day’s work for the Pinstone team as we continue to strive to make a difference in the food, farming and environment sectors, no matter what we’re doing.
