We advance children's rights and equality for girls around the world.
About us
Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organisation that advances children's rights and equality for girls. We believe in the power and potential of every child, but know this is often suppressed by poverty, violence, exclusion and discrimination. And it is girls who are most affected. Working with children, young people, supporters and partners, we strive for a just world, tackling the root causes of the challenges girls and vulnerable children face. We support children's rights from birth to adulthood and we enable children to prepare for and respond to crises and adversity. We drive changes in practice and policy at local, national and global levels using our reach, experience and knowledge. For over 85 years, we have rallied other determined optimists to transform the lives of all children in more than 80 countries. We won't stop until we are all equal.

53 trucks with 47,000 lifesaving food parcels from Plan International are leaving for Gaza today thanks to coordination by Egypt’s National Alliance – a lifeline for families who have endured unimaginable hardship. The ceasefire in #Gaza, release of hostages from Israel and Palestinian detainees bring a ray of hope and a chance for a new beginning. For all children, we hope this is the start of a lasting peace.

🏎️ Takeovers put girls in the driver's seat of leadership positions globally. In celebration of #InternationalDayOfTheGirl, Kerly took the wheel with Tatiana Calderón, a Colombian race car driver breaking gender barriers. This Takeover had a clear goal: to raise awareness and educate people about the dangers of child marriage. Because behind these unions are obstacles that hold back the future of thousands of girls: school dropouts, forced child pregnancy, and gender-based violence. Together, we are accelerating a powerful message: girls drive their future, not forced marriages. #EndChildMarriage #GirlsLead Fundación PLAN
