In honour of #BlackHistoryMonth, our colleagues and Multicultural ERG are proud to partner with educational charity Show Racism the Red Card for the second year running. All of our sites hosted Wear Red Days to show their allyship and spark meaningful conversations around the many forms of racism. We also hosted a webinar for our colleagues earlier this month, spotlighting the brilliance of today’s young black talent in Premier Foods, where our speakers shared their journeys, challenges and visions for the future.

To mark Anti-Slavery Awareness Week, today we hosted a webinar for our colleagues to raise awareness of modern slavery and its impact.   We’re committed to protect the people we employ, the people who work in our supply chains and the people who live in the wider communities in which we operate, both nationally and internationally.   Thank you to our guest speakers Andy York from Pilgrim's Europe, Rick Fletcher from Greencore and Amy Bond from Bright Future for joining us today to share insights into modern slavery within the UK, as well as practical advice on how to spot the signs and take action.

Colleagues have been keeping up the momentum with volunteering in our local communities, as we work towards our target of 1000 days volunteered a year by 2030. Here are some highlights from August & September: • Colleagues from our Carlton site spent the day at WEcare Hinkley, a charity that provides essential services to vulnerable families, from food parcels to legal and budgeting support. The team helped pack food and hygiene kits for distribution • Another group from Carlton headed to Dogs Trust in Leeds, where they built a play area for the dogs, tackled some DIY tasks and cleared pine needles from the forest area to help maintain a safe and enriching environment • Our central HR team volunteered at The Canteens Project and cooked a three-course meal using surplus food for a local community. They served the meal to members of the local community, shared conversations and handled all the clean-up • Our International team got stuck into garden maintenance at Earthworks, a charity that supports people with learning disabilities. They trimmed hedges, weeded and helped keep the grounds maintained #EnrichingLifePlan #volunteering

Our international team will be exhibiting at Anuga 2025 in Cologne, one of Europe's largest food tradeshows, from 4-8th October 2025. This will be an opportunity to showcase our leading brands to new and existing international partners, with a particular focus on FUEL10K, Sharwood's, The Spice Tailor and Merchant Gourmet. Anuga unites over 7,900 exhibitors, with over 140,000 visitors from 200 countries. Catch the Premier Foods team in the Fine Foods Hall 10.2. at Stand G61. As a Future Food Movement partner, we look forward to working with the new relaunched organisation.   FFM helps us upskill colleagues and build capability on ESG issues in the food industry. Through them, we've had the opportunity to learn from their experts and network with like-minded people across the industry.
