We’re proud to announce the successful sale of the Tungkillo Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) development project to Iberdrola Australia; a major milestone in our mission to accelerate the transition to a zero-carbon energy future. Located in South Australia’s Mid Murray Council area, the Tungkillo BESS is a 270 MW, 1,080 MWh utility-scale project designed to provide critical grid support and flexibility, enabling more renewable energy to power Australian homes and businesses.   This achievement reflects RES’ commitment to value creation, robust community engagement, and streamlined project delivery. Throughout development, we worked closely with local stakeholders—including the Traditional Owners, landowners, and councils—to ensure the project delivers long-term benefits and reflects community values.   We’re grateful for our ongoing partnership with Iberdrola, whose proposed €275 million investment in Tungkillo is part of a broader €1 billion commitment to battery storage in Australia by 2028. Together, we’re supporting Australia’s clean energy transition and building a more sustainable future.   A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this project a reality! #PowerforGood #RES #AustralianRenewables #TungkilloBESS #Iberdrola

RES has sold its consented 49.9MW Corshellach energy storage system to Gulermak Renewables. Located in Moray, the project will play its part in a transition to a clean power system by storing abundant low-cost renewables and releasing back into the system during periods of high demand. Lucy Whitford, RES’ Managing Director, UK&I, said: "We are proud to have reached this pivotal moment in the Corshellach energy storage development.   “Consented at the end of last year, the 49.9MW project in Moray will provide the crucial infrastructure required to manage the increasingly complex supply and demand needs of the 21st Century. We are looking forward to continuing our involvement in the project through the provision of ongoing development and asset management services.”   Corshellach is one of six energy storage projects RES has developed in Scotland to date where we remain committed to transforming the way energy is generated, stored and supplied.

⚡Skills for the future – RES backs 27 more UHI students   As part of RES’ three-year £60,000 collaboration with the UHI - an integrated university in Scotland - 27 students from a range of academic backgrounds have received grants of up to £1,000 from the Student Development Fund to support their studies. This is the second year that RES has supported the fund, which aims to make development opportunities accessible to every student at UHI, regardless of financial or geographical barriers.   Three students from the 2025 funding round include Glen Dickson, April Sutherland and Moumita Kar, each representing disciplines that contribute to health, culture, and tourism across the Highlands and Islands. This reflects RES’ broader approach of investing in communities to help create lasting benefits beyond renewable energy.   Read the full release on our website 🔗 https://bit.ly/47xiAZf #PowerForGood #StudentDevelopment #HighlandsAndIslands #RenewableEnergy

This week, we were pleased to share our insights at BloombergNEF Summit London, contributing thought leadership on two of Europe’s most pressing energy topics - navigating the political landscape of the energy transition and unlocking value from aging, end-of-life assets.   The summit - where energy, finance and technology come together - heard from our Chief Executive Officer for EMEA & APAC, Marco Perona, who reflected on the last decade since the Paris Agreement was reached. Marco remarked on the climate ambition journey we're on and expressed his view that we have proved we can deliver as an industry. As a region, policy frameworks are increasingly supporting the Age of Electricity, emboldening other countries to feel empowered to follow European footsteps. Ultimately, to keep Europe on course, he reflected that we need to ensure that the benefits of the energy system reach consumers directly while building resilient and sustainable local supply chains.   Another appearance by Melissa Charlton, our KAM Programme Director, saw her join a panel exploring Europe’s end-of-life wind farms and whether value can be unlocked in these aging assets. The conversation focused on repowering and the strategies that can be implemented to increase capacity, leveraging partial and full repowering options and the benefits that existing sites can offer. Recognising the value of repowering through streamlined planning, clear EIA guidance, and potential grandfathered rights could unlock its strategic benefits, especially as land around long-lived sites may gain new protections over time.   #BNEFSummit #Renewables

Keeping solar technicians safe and skilled is more than a requirement. It is a key operational focus for a growing global industry. At the GWO Safety & Training Forum 2025 in Madrid we recently shared insights on modular, hands-on training standards through Dennis Thorlund Elsberg who leads the new GWO Global Solar Committee. With these standards, a technician trained in Chile can now operate to the same safety and competence level as one in Australia while country-specific modules ensure local regulations are met. By embedding these standards into recruitment, onboarding and career development we are helping build a safer, more adaptable and future ready workforce to power a sustainable energy future. At Electricity Transformation Canada 2025, RES joined leaders from across the sector to explore how we move from vision to action. The conversations across the event and in the RES Lounge were filled with innovation and a shared sense of purpose. A few powerful takeaways: ● Canada’s renewable energy industry has grown from 450 MW to over 18 GW in two decades, not just because of technology, but because people dared to think big. — Robert Hornung ● Now is the time to go big or go home. The scale of renewable energy is growing like never before. — Liam Duffy ● Indigenous leadership, distributed energy resources, and carbon transparency aren’t separate strategies — they’re the foundation of responsible governance and smarter risk management. — Lisa (Elisabeth) DeMarco ● Transmission system upgrades are key for the renewable energy industry to efficiently contribute to Quebec’s ambitious clean energy goals. — Denis LEGALLAIS Swipe through to see more of our key takeaways from #ETC2025. #CleanEnergy #TeamRES #PowerForGood Isabelle Deguise

📣 Major milestone for renewables in Australia Both the Moah Creek Wind Farm (a RES joint venture project through Central Queensland Power (CQP)) and Tallawang Solar Farm (RES, now owned by Potentia Energy) have been selected for the Australian Government’s Capacity Investment Scheme - a program that helps fund new renewable projects to ensure reliable, clean electricity as Australia transitions away from coal. 🔵 Moah Creek Wind Farm will deliver 360 MW of wind power for over 195,000 homes in Queensland, create up to 400 jobs, and bring $600 million in economic benefits. 🟡 Tallawang Solar Farm, recently approved by the NSW Independent Planning Commission, will provide 500 MW of solar generation and 1000 MWh of battery storage in the Central West Orana Renewable Energy Zone - the largest solar hybrid project in NSW. The project will support up to 420 construction jobs, offer long-term community funding, and partner with local First Nations groups for 30 years. Both projects are committed to strong community engagement, environmental safeguards, and supporting local economies. Repairing components, reducing emissions and driving innovation. cesar magan works in our spares workshop in Albacete, Spain, where he spends his days repairing components, learning new skills and helping to keep renewable assets running efficiently. After studying renewables, he joined RES and has grown his expertise with the support of colleagues who value teamwork and knowledge sharing. The workshop was created to bring repairs closer to the wind farms we manage, cutting carbon emissions, speeding up lead times and reducing downtime. It now provides services for both RES-managed sites and other customers. César’s dedication and passion for his work reflect the hands-on teamwork and continuous learning that make the workshop a success.
