  • I’ve just returned from an inspiring few days in Paris at the NRF 2025: Retail's Big Show Europe, where I had the privilege of moderating the session: “Unify Experiences, Elevate Customer Engagement In-Store and Online" a dynamic and forward-thinking discussion with three outstanding panellists: Fernanda DalbenDalben Supermercados Nacho CARNÉSDUNKIN´ NL Philipp AndréeDouglas Group Together, we explored how leading retailers are integrating physical retail, e-commerce, mobile and experiential touchpoints to create truly seamless, emotionally resonant customer journeys.   • This Saturday, we had the pleasure of attending the British Fashion Council ‘City Wide Celebration’ at the iconic Manchester The Trafford Centre – a weekend dedicated to spotlighting the cultural and geographic roots of some of Britain’s most celebrated designers. A particular highlight was Manchester’s ‘At Home With’ presented by 1664 Blanc, held on The Orient main stage, where an inspiring panel featuring Kazna A., Matty Bovan, Nadine Merabi, and Liam Winter (The Winter House) shared their journeys, insights and passion for fashion. What struck us most was how each designer is using their platform not just to create beautiful pieces, but to champion diversity, authenticity and the stories that shape their work. It’s a powerful reminder that fashion is not only about aesthetics - it’s about identity, culture and connection. It was brilliant to see Manchester take centre stage in the conversation about British fashion, celebrating the talent, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit that continues to drive the industry forward.   • From Riyadh in May 2024 to London this September, it has been inspiring to witness the journey of the #GREATFUTURES campaign and the growing collaboration between Saudi Arabia and the UK. Back in May 2024 in Riyadh, when I attended the launch of the GREAT FUTURES campaign, I was struck by the bold vision to strengthen collaboration between Saudi Arabia and the UK. It was clear from the outset that this was more than an initiative - it was a platform designed to unlock opportunity, create jobs and accelerate growth across both nations. Fast forward to 3 September in London and that vision came to life at the #GREATFUTURES Summit. I had the pleasure of attending 'The Luxury Retail Dinner' at Future Stores, Oxford Street that evening which carried the spirit into a more intimate setting. It wasn’t just a dinner; it was a reflection of how far we’ve come and a reminder of the opportunities still ahead. Thought-provoking conversations, a dynamic panel hosted by Kate Hardcastle MBE with Intisar Al Yami, Smruti Sriram OBE and Abdulaziz Alghifaili and the chance to connect with industry colleagues all reinforced how collaboration can translate vision into reality. For me, it was a moment to reflect on how far we’ve come in such a short time: 13 growth sectors activated Two-way investment flowing Partnerships forming that go beyond transactions, rooted in long-term collaboration A special thank you to Jamila Saidi and the Department for Business and Trade for creating such a memorable evening. As #RLI continues to deepen its work in KSA and the wider GCC, I am energised by the role we can play in this story - connecting people, showcasing innovation and helping bring bold projects to life. And as RLI approaches the last quarter of its 20th anniversary, I am proud that our journey aligns so closely with this spirit of collaboration and innovation - celebrating the past while embracing new opportunities to shape the future together.
