Today, on International Day of Families, we are proud to share an initiative that puts family and support at the heart of our workplace. Colleagues who make up our Women at Riverside Employee Network (or WREN for short) shared their recent (and not so recent) experiences of their parenting journeys and return to the workplace following parental leave. Experiences were varied, from previous places of work to their time at Riverside, with WREN colleagues seeing this as an opportunity to improve the process – and they did just that. Ali and Kirstine developed our Family-Friendly ‘Buddies’ scheme – a confidential, informal peer support network where colleagues can connect with someone who has been there. Someone to talk to, ask questions or simply share their journey with and be a listening ear. To ensure the Buddies scheme truly met people’s needs, the team carried out anonymised research with colleagues about their parenting journeys. The honest, heartfelt feedback gave us crucial insights and we were so thankful to everyone who contributed. Working closely with Bethan, in our People Services team, we reflected this feedback in our updated suite of Family Friendly policies and guidance, and created a Padlet – an online handbook packed with resources – which contains links and signposting to external support from maternity to paternity, fertility, adoption, shared parental leave, baby loss and so much more. This is just one step in our ongoing commitment to building a more inclusive, family-friendly workplace. Developed by Sophie, we also continue to provide our monthly Parent Peer Support Group drop-in, a safe, confidential space to have an informal chat about experiences, share advice and support for one another whatever your parenting journey looks like. We are proud of the progress – and the people Ali, Kirstine, Bethan and Sophie – behind the initiatives. A huge thank you for all your hard work and support! By #EnhancingTheEveryday experiences of our colleagues, we foster a sense of value and belonging within the workplace, ensuring everyone feels recognised, supported and appreciated. This Maternal Mental Health Week we're raising awareness of the diverse and often complex journeys to, and through, parenthood and the importance of mental health support along the way. At Riverside we're committed to supporting our colleagues through every stage of their parenting journey. Our family friendly policies provide support for: • pregnancy • maternity and birth parent • pregnancy loss • paternity • non-birth parent and co-adopter • shared parental leave • adoption and surrogacy • and parental leave. We also offer a dedicated family-friendly buddies programme to support colleagues returning to work after parental leave along with comprehensive guidance and access to our employee assistance programme. This week is a powerful reminder of the strength within our teams and the importance of creating a workplace where every parenting journey is supported with empathy, flexibility and care. We encourage anyone who needs support during their parenting journey to reach out for support. https://lnkd.in/eQkqgRRJ #Care #Inclusive #MMHW #EnhancingTheEveryday

👏 Exciting times ahead Mount Anvil 👷 🏗️ 🏡
Our planning application is in at Tiller Road 🚀 Working with our partner Riverside, we’ve submitted a planning application to the London Borough of Tower Hamlets for the next chapter at Tiller Road. If approved, this development will deliver 400 homes – including 137 much-needed affordable homes – along with a new north–south pedestrian green link, two community spaces, a landscaped courtyard with play area, and a community growing garden. During the consultation period, four Mount Anvil teammates spent 70 hours with the Tiller Road community alongside Riverside colleagues – engaging with and listening to residents and taking on board their feedback to shape our proposals. We’re proud that 90% of residents support our proposals for Tiller Road, with an NPS score of 90. 👏 We have a proven track record of delivering new homes in Tower Hamlets. We’re also delivering new homes for existing residents at The Bellamy nearby, in partnership with Riverside. This submission marks the latest in a growing wave of planning momentum for 2025 – we’re on track to secure five planning approvals, with the first at Friary Park being secured last week. We’re proud to be working with Riverside and delivering the vision of a new community at Tiller Road for residents.

We were pleased to welcome teams from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government to our Geoffrey Close redevelopment project in Lambeth, alongside our construction partners Bellway Homes 🏡 The visit was a valuable opportunity to share the progress we're making, the challenges of estate regeneration, and the long-term benefits for residents and the wider community. Our housing and regeneration teams, along with construction partners Bellway, gave a project overview followed by a tour of the existing estate and live construction site, including a rooftop visit to Block A, the first new building under way 🏗️ Geoffrey Close is a 441-home redevelopment to transform the Geoffrey Close estate in Lambeth, in a joint-venture partnership with Bellway, supported by the GLA grant funding. The new development will replace the current social housing with high quality, energy efficient new homes that meet the needs of existing residents and deliver an additional 306 homes for sale, shared ownership and rent to buy, along with improved green spaces, a community centre and a gym for all residents to enjoy 🌳 🌸 🏢 🚲🚶♀️ The mixed tenure development includes 135 social and affordable, 35 shared ownership, 27 ‘London living rent’, 244 market sale homes and full completion is expected in winter 2034. Following extensive community consultation, we started on site in 2022 and Block A is on track to be watertight by summer, with completion due early next year and residents moving in soon after. We're proud of the progress being made and excited for what’s still to come. We’d like to thank the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government for attending the visit, and our construction partners Bellway for supporting the tour. We’re pleased the day was a success with lots of engaging discussions 🙏 👏 💬
