The video is November 2023. It was also the day Amal Jolly and I recorded our first podcast. We were waiting for our demo to load, and it wouldn't, no matter how many times we refreshed the page and how many times we called Michael Ettlinger, who was furiously debugging. Dominic McLoughney and the Becketts team were waiting, but we were really focused on the problem in the meeting, digging into where the business was going and the biggest blockers, not showing fancy demos. That is how we solve for all our partners, focus on the problem. Obsess over what is preventing advice professionals from delivering their life changing service to more people. 18 months on and this raise is a big milestone in a journey I won't forget because working with our team, our clients and this industry is our life's work. We will invest this $15mn to remove blockers to ensure 1 billion people across the globe achieve the financial peace of mind they deserve. We just raised $15M Series A for Saturn - to give advisers superpowers. A personal and a Saturn origin story first: I wouldn’t be here if a financial adviser (a client of mine) in 2018 hadn’t shown me how to build financial peace before I had any money. That changed how I took risk. It changed how I built. It’s the reason Saturn exists. This was never “an AI idea”. It started as a response to a system that makes advice inaccessible. When I moved from India to the UK, my earliest clients weren’t just startups, fortunately, they were financial advisers, paraplanners, estate planners. I helped them automate admin. In return, sometimes, they used to help me make financial decisions which are quite emotional with clarity. It was obvious: Advisers don’t struggle with expertise. They struggle with time. The average adviser can only serve ~80 families - not due to lack of care, but because compliance and admin crush capacity. So in July 2023, I called Rohit and Michael We each put in £300. Shared one WeWork card. Sneaked into meeting rooms we didn’t pay for to make it look ‘these guys are professionals feel’ for advice firms ;) to start building what became Saturn now. Spent months literally sitting next to advisers, paraplanners and admins, understanding their pain and even doing admin with them Falling in love with the problem before writing a line of code. We launched Saturn first product in early 2024. Soon after, Alan Smith - one of the UK’s leading advice voices - said something that captured exactly what we were building toward: “The best financial planners aren’t service providers. They’re the friend who gives your life decisions clarity.” That’s what we are scaling. Not automation - human clarity, at scale. Where we are now Saturn supports 6,500+ advisers across the UK and over 10% of financial advice conversations now run through Saturn, firms are already seeing And now we’ve raised $15M led by Singular (with Shapers, YC and Zeno) to go further. The future is simple: Advisers serving more families or go build deeper relationships with their existing clients - with full compliance, zero burnout, and actually sleeping well at night. Saturn isn’t here to automate advice. We exist to remove the bottlenecks so humans can do the part only humans can do.
