  • A huge THANK YOU to The Brit Fest who have named us as their charity partners for the 2026 event. We were delighted to attend their launch party last night in Altrincham's Everyman cinema. College student Max, our mascot Buddy, and Dianne from our Fundraising Team spoke on stage about their delight in being named partners again and told the audience a little bit about our work. We can't wait to attend the music event in July next year and spread the word even further about our wonderful staff and students.

Roy Barry has raised nearly £10,000 with his incredible Triple Crown Three Lakes Swim challenge, swimming 24 miles in total across three lakes in the Lake District. No stranger to swimming, Roy attempted Ullswater last year and had to be pulled out at mile five. Instead of giving up, he challenged himself to come back again the following year - swimming two more lakes and raising money for Seashell in memory of his late niece Sophia. After his epic challenge was complete, we invited Roy back to our campus to say a huge thank you and unveil our new plaque in the Margaret Mason Hall, dedicated to Sophia. "The relief was overwhelming and it's been an amazing journey. Somewhere along the way I realised it's really helped me to process everything." Thank you so much Roy for sharing your story and taking on this monumental challenge to support us. 💙

  • A Seashell parent ran her own quiz night, raising an incredible £906 to support Seashell! Rebecca's son Joshua attends Royal College Manchester on the Employability Pathway. "He's gone from strength to strength since starting Seashell a year ago," said Rebecca. "He's been making so many new friends and he's on the student council." "I'm a great believer in giving back. I've secured dozens of prizes from local businesses for my quiz night, including vouchers, hampers, spa treatments, jewellery and more." Rebecca's quiz was a huge success, with 56 people in attendance, raising a total of £904.36! If you'd like to know more about ways you can support Seashell, get in touch with our Fundraising Team on [email protected].

  • Thank you to Vitabiotics Ltd, who have provided all of our Seashell team members with a free pack of Ultra Zinc vitamins! Zinc plays a really important role in the function of your immune system and can help reduce the impact of cold symptoms. It also helps with vision and cognitive function and protects your cells from oxidative stress, so it's a true all-rounder. Want to work somewhere with staff benefits like these?
