This Saturday I am talking on a panel about all things Biomed and Entrepreneurship. During my Biomedical Science degrees, I knew I didn't want to go down the traditional route of being a biomedical scientist, but I had no clue where to start looking. If this sounds familiar, get your tickets here: https://lnkd.in/ebS5cnH6 Thanks to SiSTEM UK for organising, and Medical Research Council & LSBU Planning for supporting the event. I look forward to demystifying routes beyond medicine.

Still reminiscing about this year’s Brunch of SiSTEMs! 💛 It’s been two months since we hosted our annual brunch and we’re still smiling about it. Thank you again to our beautiful guests, phenomenal speakers and host and of course, the incredible SiSTEM team who made it all happen. There was so much colour, energy, and sisterhood in the room, we can close our eyes and imagine it’s summer again🌸✨ Here’s to more spaces that celebrate, uplift, and connect women in STEM. Until next time, keep glowing in your power! 💫 #SiSTEM #WomenInSTEM #Community #Empowerment #GlowInYourPower 📸: Pick Up The Mic Ltd

✨ Bridging the Gap Between Aspiration and Access ✨ The work continues! On Monday we had our GHD x SiSTEM UK x STEMAZING event which reminded me just how powerful it is when we bring young people into professional spaces, not just to observe, but to belong. When designing this event with Alex Knight CEng FIMechE from STEMAZING, we made a deliberate choice to invite both sixth formers and university students. Seeing them interact, share stories, and form genuine alliances 🥺 That’s the kind of cross-generation sisterhood we need more of in STEM. Too often, the world of work feels distant to students. But when they walk into offices, meet engineers who look like them, and hear real stories, something shifts, they start to see themselves there. Representation and proximity build belief. That’s why events like this matter they bridge the gap between education and industry, turning imagination into possibility. 💖 A huge thank you to all the incredible young women who took the time to apply and show up. You are bold, brilliant, and fearless. The next generation in STEM isn’t waiting for permission; they’re already stepping into purpose. And of course, thank you to our partners at GHD and STEMAZING for opening your doors and creating such an empowering space for the future of engineering. How I wish I had spaces like this when I was younger, maybe the jump into the corporate world wouldn’t have felt so scary. Now, we’re making sure the next generation won’t have to make that leap alone 💫 Let’s keep building bridges, not barriers. #STEM #WomenInSTEM #FutureEngineers #RepresentationMatters #Inspiration #Engineering #SiSTEMUK #STEMAZING #GHD #Mentorship #NextGenSTEM #Community #SisterhoodInSTEM

I’m still buzzing from the energy of Black Tech Fest BTF® 2025. ⚡ SiSTEM UK hosted a Black Women in Tech panel and wow, what a moment! The room was alive. You could feel the inspiration, the truth-telling, the possibility. It wasn’t just a panel it was ‘history in the making’. It was a privelledge being there as Marketing & PR Manager, capturing some amazing moments behind the lens. Watching the incredible women Hosanna Hali & Ama A. share their journeys so openly, reminded me exactly why I do what I do. Representation matters. Community matters. And when Black women in tech take up space, everyone wins. I’m so proud of SiSTEM UK - Dr Abigail Otchere & Donna Otchere for creating spaces like this, and proud of myself for being part of something so meaningful. Let’s do this again next year! #BlackTechFest #BlackWomenInTech #SistemUK #RepresentationMatters #MarketingAndPR #GoGetter #DigitalMarketing #WomenInTech #TechForGood

There’s nothing quite like inspiring the next generation of girls in STEM…and this week, I had two amazing opportunities to do just that! 💫 ✨ Earlier in the week, SiSTEM UK collaborated with STEMAZING to take 25 sixth formers and students to GHD where they explored what a career in engineering really looks like. It was incredible to see them engage, network, and discover new paths in maths and engineering ✨ Donna Otchere , Ama A. and I delivered our “It STEMs From Here” workshop at The Baytree Centre in Brixton. We had such an engaged group of sixth formers asking thoughtful questions about careers and university, a powerful reminder of why we started SiSTEM. Not every girl has a sister to turn to for guidance, and that’s exactly what SiSTEM is here for 💖 Huge thank you to GHD, Baytree, and STEMAZING Alex Knight CEng FIMechE for partnering with/hosting us. My greatest joy will always be inspiring even one girl to choose and stay in STEM. #WomenInSTEM #STEMEducation #BlackWomenInSTEM #Outreach #Engineering

💭 Have you ever walked into a room and realised you’re the only one who looks like you? That’s been my reality more times than I can count as a Black woman in tech, and it’s one of the reasons why spaces like Black Tech Fest ‘25 mean so much to me. This year, I had the privilege of speaking on a panel with SiSTEM UK alongside Ama A. where we explored breaking barriers, building visibility, and empowering the next generation of Women in Tech. 💻✨ My biggest takeaway? ➡️ Black women can do anything, when we’re supported, sponsored, and truly seen. ➡️ It’s time for companies to shift the conversation from recruitment to retention, because getting us through the door isn’t enough if we can’t stay, grow, and lead once we’re inside. I’ve often been the only one in the room, but my mission is to make sure I’m not the last! To my sisters in tech: keep showing up, even when it’s hard. You belong here! What’s one thing your organisation is doing to make tech more inclusive and sustainable for women of colour? #BlackTechFest #WomenInTech #BlackWomenInTech #RepresentationMatters #Inclusion #RetentionOverRecruitment #DiversityInTech #BreakingBarriers #TechCommunity

Still buzzing from the incredible energy at BTF® 2025 💜 What an honour to join the stage for “The Silent Code No More: Black Women Reclaiming Tech” — a powerful conversation about visibility, voice, and reclaiming our space in the industry. Alongside SiSTEM UK So grateful to my Accenture colleagues who came along to watch, cheer, and represent — your presence truly meant so much. And a huge thank you to my grand friends (you know who you are!) for always showing up and reminding me why community matters. The love, connection requests, and thoughtful messages I’ve received since the panel have been overwhelming in the best way. This is what happens when we create space for honest conversations and shared purpose. Representation isn’t just visibility — it’s momentum. Let’s keep pushing, mentoring, and opening doors so the next generation of Black women in tech know there’s a place for them here. 💪🏾✨ #BlackTechFest #BlackWomenInTech #RepresentationMatters #WomenInTech #Accenture #TechForGood
