💡 European Day on Pain Awareness 2025 – Preventive Healthcare for Chronic Pain 💡
Chronic pain affects more than 150 million people in Europe and is one of the main reasons for disability and reduced quality of life. Despite this, prevention is still often overlooked, even though it can make a real difference to how many people develop chronic pain and how well it is managed.
This year’s campaign focuses on the role of prevention. Raising awareness, detecting pain earlier, adapting workplaces and embedding prevention in healthcare systems can all help to reduce the personal and societal burden of pain.
