Wednesday was a day of networking and meetings. It began at The Deep Business Centre to meet up with The Business Culture Hey. Great to catch up with Tony & Michelle Bowler again - and thanks to Olivia Buckley for allowing her sector to be critiqued and Cat Knell Gerace for her presentation. Think Lee C. may well have stolen the show with an eclectic array of kitchen items that are really useful in Chinese Therapy. I mean, who knew? Afterwards, a spot of volunteering at Hull's 107FM and a meeting with Pete Mills to see how Parcel Pal Ltd can collaborate with community radio. As always, the day job is never far away. Another brilliantly busy month for Gemma Wardell and the Team! Inspiring, giving back and training. Here's a snapshot of what we've been up to... ⭐ Gemma is passionate about giving back to the community! So this month, she volunteered at the Holderness House Trust as part of their Heritage Day, sharing her knowlege of Thomas Ferens and his legacy. ⭐ Gemma joined Rebecca Aspin and Laura Andrew from Stories from Home to deliver Seen at Saltmarshe. A powerful 2-day experience for brilliant women to step away from the noise, reconnect with their story, their strengths, and their innate brilliance — and move forward from a place of deep alignment. The 2 days were really special, here's what Gemma had to say: "So grateful that this is my work, I have the privilege of witnessing the unique brilliance that lives within each of us, but more than that..I get to watching it come alive in this space." ⭐ Our Mental Edge Workshops in partnership with The Deep Business Centre returned after a short summer break. This month we had the pleasure of welcoming Laura Andrew to speak on the theme of "Your Story is Your Strategy". It was a thought-provoking session with some great energy in the room! 💬 It's been a busy week for Leah Young, our Conservation Project Officer, who attended two workshops on marine policy developments! 🚢 East Marine Plan - The Marine Management Organisation hosted a workshop with help from Yorkshire Marine Nature Partnership, at The Deep Business Centre.  This consultation invited feedback on policy for the updated East Marine Plan, which aims to sustainably manage our marine areas for the environment, economy and local communities. 🌊 Marine Net Gain - Haskoning held a workshop on Strategic Marine Net Gain, with help from Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust, at the North Sea Observatory.  This consultation invited feedback on the Marine Net Gain recommendations that Haskoning have developed alongside a diverse range of stakeholders. 🙌 It's great to see how these projects are developing, and to be able to represent nature partnerships.
