Christiana Stewart-Lockhart, Director General of Enterprise Investment Scheme Association (EISA), wrote an article for Tax-Efficient Investment Magazine's October edition. "As the government looks to fuel growth in this Autumn’s Budget, the SEIS offers a clear case study of how targeted reforms can unlock capital and stimulate entrepreneurship nationwide." Christiana notes the strong growth in the UK’s Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme (SEIS) and Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS), driven by recent reforms such as extending SEIS eligibility from two to three years. She highlights how these changes have encouraged regional investment, with areas like the North-East seeing significant increases outside the usual London focus. Christiana also noted a rise in adviser engagement, as more financial professionals are incorporating SEIS and EIS into client portfolios following the 2024 Budget reforms.
