Last week, The Beauty Tech Group (CurrentBody, ZIIP, Tria) and Fermi America debuted on the London Stock Exchange, and NewPrinces Group also recently announced their intention to list. Today, I welcome news that Shawbrook plans to do the same. When I became Chancellor, I committed to working with regulators to overhaul listing rules to support growth and innovation, and those measures are now bearing fruit. Through measures like this, and the Financial Services Growth and Competitiveness Strategy, which is building a stronger culture of retail investment, I am working to make Britain the best place to do business.

The UK Government has announced new rules to tackle the rising number of unregulated aesthetic procedures being carried out by unqualified individuals. This crackdown aims to protect the public and reduce pressure on the NHS from treating complications caused by unsafe treatments. Our Founder and British Beauty Council Member, Laurence Newman, says : “No unqualified person should be able to offer treatments and procedures. Equally, The Beauty Tech Group wants to ensure that products used at home are safe and effective too. Delighted to announce The Beauty Tech Group (CurrentBody, ZIIP, Tria) partnership with The University of Manchester’s Centre for Dermatology Research to examine the impact of the CurrentBody Skin LED Light Therapy Face Mask on photoaged or chronically sun-exposed skin. As the use of LED light therapy and other beauty technologies becomes increasingly commonplace in people’s lives, so has the increase in demand for education and proof of results. Thank you to Dr Abigail Langton and the respective teams who put this unique project together at our amazing home University. On Friday 20th June, a group of our employees took on the 5 Peak Challenge in the Lake District — covering 20km and climbing 5 peaks in under 12 hours — all to raise money for The Christie Charity, who provide vital support to cancer patients and fund pioneering research.
