💙 Team working their magic in #Dubai on an awesome event with Bupa
I’ve had some cool experiences working in the events world. But the last two weeks have been particularly rewarding. Last Thursday, we delivered a launch event at the British embassy in Nairobi to celebrate a new regulated IPMI license in Kenya. I worked closely with the British High Commission Nairobi team to bring this occasion life with just an 8 week lead time. It was immensely rewarding to see our brand come to life and my leaders tell the Bupa story on stage. I then flew to Dubai to deliver the Global Intermediary Advisory Board (GIAB). A 2 day event bringing our most senior intermediary partners together with our leadership team to discuss the future of healthcare; the challenges, the opportunities and the strategic lens that’s required to navigate a changing world. What a privilege to be in the same room to hear these conversations. The last two weeks have been the culmination of hard work since January and as an event specialist, nothing beats the feeling of seeing your work come to life and positive engagement from attendees. Thanks to Nicola Shield and Aisling Young for leading on the content for GIAB, thanks to Rob De Rosa for always smashing the event comms and to the wider Bupa Global team for working collaboratively to get the job done. The team at TM G have had a brilliant week, attending both #InternationalConfex2025 and #TheProductionShow2025. Both events have provided the opportunity to connect with industry leaders, discover cutting-edge event solutions, and to dive into the latest trends shaping the future of events. With AI taking the stage, front and centre, to immersive staging solutions, this year’s show reinforced why production is at the heart of unforgettable events, and how the industry is accelerating towards more impactful, engaging and responsible events. Here’s what our team have to share: Nicholas Frazier Design Director - The Production Show 📖 Connect story and narrative to event experience. A great talk from Secret Cinema highlighted the importance of connecting story with experience - start the story before the event. 🤖 AI and Tech draw the crowd. Classic scenic seemed to fall flat in comparison to Ai digital treatments, and better connected people to product and concept. 💡 Lighting elevates - Booths that framed their spaces with clever and considered lighting stood out from the crowd. Max Damon Cogger, Event Director - International Confex 🤗 Wellness of event attendees is a priority. Successful events incorporate mindfulness sessions and wellness workshops for both physical and mental health. 📱 AI is permeating all facets of events, from personalised app experiences and smart networking to interactive photobooths and immersive installations, enhancing attendee engagement and providing valuable data-driven insights for event planners. 🎨 Captivating, innovative decor and playful elements - jelly bean waterfall and flavored bubble machines, alongside cutting-edge technology such as drone show suppliers and unique, out-of-the-box decor designs. Nicole Smith, Event Director - International Confex 🌍 Sustainability is no longer a trend, it's a necessity. Sustainability has moved from being a "nice-to-have" to a "must-have". Confex showcased great content to increase awareness for sustainable solutions and provided solutions for how we could take a holistic approach when integrating it into event planning. 👫 There is a lot of focus on networking, interactive experiences and community building, highlighting how key these are to building lasting event impact. 💻 AI integration, AI Integration, AI integration. Harness the power of AI or be left behind! Events like Confex and The Production Show continue to inspire and motivate us.
